Drury is awful
Sullivan finally figured out that Laba needs wingers who can play. Love the line of Laba-Laf & Cullye!!! The third line last night by Sullivan-putrid! You'd think a coach of this caliber would realize that the third line should have been Edstrom-Carrick-Raddysh. What is this FN obsession with Parsinnen? He's not an NHL center. As for Soucy, he hasn't done well, he's a liability out there, constantly out of position. Thank god for Borgen, or "Belligerent Bill" as the Kraken announcer called him. Laba line is exciting. Imagine, just imagine, how exciting this team could be with Perreault, Berard & Othmann out there. Sullivan sends Robertson & Othmann to the sidelines for a mistake(destroys confidence) whereas the same is not true of Parrsinen & Soucy. Eventually Sully may figure it out, particularly if he stops listening to Drury!
Yep all good. Now all we need is for the Leafs, Lightning and Capitals to fold as franchises and we're on our way. A big step up would not have a team with half of its players in a minus category. We are one game above 500 with half the wins coming in O.T. Half of this team are passengers with snakes on a plane. 🏒
The young guys have a lot to learn and are not 200ft players. Some are not ready like people think,but we cannot keep guys like Soucy and Sheary. Top 6 has to be a lot better. Laba is a good example of someone who can bring it, you can see it. Laf…I feel like there's something there, but how long do you wait? He's not making anything happen and thats what we need. Agitators and guys that are not afraid to rush in and crash the net.
Biggest improvement for this team is the reduction in turnovers all over the ice: clear DZ exits, no turnovers from cross ice passes in the NZ, and getting the puck deep to establish the forecheck. I like the D Drury has acquired: guys with size and length who make it real tough on opponents. Power Play has to get going. Enjoying these new line combinations.
