You guys called it as a scheduled loss. I paid to go to this one. Second year in a row seeing them get blown out by the Rangers at home.
I cringe every time they play. We just know that they have these blowouts in them any given game. I’m not going to hope that they will make the playoffs because I know they won’t. If they don’t, it’s time to move on from Stevie Y as GM. I love Stevie but enough is enough.

Can Detroit hire a young, goalie who can stop a puck? Maybe even learn to not allow 4 odd man rushes against them during one Detroit power play?

Seems like everytime the legends of Red Wings past are in the building for a special event and are watching the game the Wings look like jackasses. Send the whole team down to GR and bring the Griffins up for a few games!
The recent analysis on this team makes me feel like a crazy person. Narratives get built up so quickly and memories are so flawed. I don't think this team has ever been as good as their record has been this season. They are not playing any consistent, structured style of hockey yet and it shows in weak 5 on 5 offense and messy defensive zone positioning.
Seider's advanced stats look good and suddenly everyone starts talking about how amazing he's been this season. He hasn't been! He's quarterbacking the power play ineffectively and making, by his standards, plenty of defensive mistakes. He's not actually bad, but he straight up doesn't look as tenacious and dangerous as he has before.
There's a ton of changes they still need to make. Berggren should not be the first scratch on this team. Finnie probably doesn't need to stay in the top six. Copp and Compher cannot be on the same line. JBD should get a chance to keep a roster spot unless he's committed some kind of crime against McLellan. Edvinsson and Kasper need to find another level.
the power play needs Seider off it if he's going to play like that, and also Larkin needs to start winning some faceoffs on the power play. it seemed like he lost most of them esp as it went on. the 5v5 slump is named Travis Hamonic. he should never play.
the team has 1 regulation win this year without JBD in the lineup.
Adding Appleton to the Compher, Copp line should be permanent. Appleton compliments their type of play.
Was Kasper or Debrincat even on the ice tonight… holy smokes. If Kasper can be sent down they might want to send him down to ride the bus for a while like the tigers did to Torkelson because man he isn’t contributing a bit. He needs a wake up call same for Debrincat . The wings need more out of them two if they plan on winning. They’re not jelling. The wings don’t have a chance if them two aren’t going especially with dead weight Rasmussen playing every game.
