This teams issues runs far further than goaltending it starts by getting rid of Bouchard

I was at that game. I would have to say that skinner, and Calvin made really good saves, but every line but mcdavids getting walked really didn't help the goalie out.
If there was ever any doubt about whether McDavid or Mackinnon is better now I think we have our answer…

The minute I read that Paul Coffey was no longer part of the coaching group but staying on as a "special advisor" I just knew the defence would become more dog shit than it already was…. I genuinely believe it was Coffey firing up the team. Knoblauch just isn't that guy to me.

Oilers did not resign Oliver Rodrigue. He’s injured right now and is why is KHL contract was mutually terminated. The only goaltender in their system that could be called up to the NHL and not absolute stink is Ingram meaning of the Oilers want to make goaltender changes it will need to be through trades.
Maybe try and trade for Luukkonen or Nedeljkovic? Those two are from teams that might reasonably be willing to part with them.
The Oilers were at least always fun to watch over the past five years or so. Now they're just boring. I've been saying this for a couple of years: the NHL is heading back to another Dead Puck Era once McDavid and Leon start declining. If you liked the late 1990s NHL then you're in for a treat.

The Bouchard signing is a disaster. A predicted disaster. WHY is this person playing? Well, because they ain't benching a $10.5 Million player. And I think the lack of benchin for his egregious errors has lead to frustration among the team.
As for the goaltending: You're wrong. Getting rid of the backup solves nothing. Dumping Pickard on waivers solves nothing. The issue is the starter. Change the backup goalie? Why? For what? What the hell difference would that make? Oh, NONE. A trade has to be made.

I’ve stopped watching Oilers live, I find it’s too stressful watching their terrible performances. If they win, if, then I’ll watch it and am able to forgive the Bouchard give aways or the Skinner soft goals if I know they ultimately win.

The Oilers can survive one Bouchard playing like the opponent’s extra skater with no passion, no urgency and no defensive effort, but not an entire lineup. It looks like the malaise has spread through the whole room.
