There are coyotes everywhere in Calif. They like rural locations because there's plenty of space. They like urban locations because there's plenty of food. You can't shoot them in urban locations, at least not with firearms. You might have success with a powerful air rifle, if you could get a good hit in exactly the right spot. It's frustrating to see coyotes so emboldened in the city running around like they own the place, and menacing pets and even small children. There is a book called Understanding Coyotes by Michael Huff that gives a lot of very good insight on these dangerous predators.
A grown man spending his life killing coyotes? No wonder we're losing our country.
You wouldn't happen to have a printable version of this timeline and calling sequence?
Thanks for the great info!
Do you need a license to take them. On your own land?
is this more a geographical specific instruction or would this work all over?
A lot of great info. I’m looking at buying a call soon so I can extend my hunting year round. What call would you consider the best bang for your buck? It’ll be mainly used for coyotes but I’ll throw in some crow hunts as well. Additionally, is there any books or other videos you’d recommend for someone getting started? I’ve killed quite a few coyotes but it’s mainly been by happenstance while bow hunting.
We used to have wolves here …they were alright …now I don't see wolves and we have coyotes and rhe deer population is way down . I hear them and see tracks but they never show themselves during the day
What is a good caliber to start with? Thank you for the video! It was super helpful!
Wow that’s the most explanation I’ve ever heard. Thanks
Great information. Very well done. Extremely helpful. We will watch it a few more times and take notes. Much appreciated.
Just like with everything else, it’s always grateful to learn something new from fellow hunters. Even for those who have been hunting for awhile, this is a great video to watch and learn something new or even help tweak our hunting experience and knowledge. Also this is a great value video for someone who is just starting out to predator hunt. I’m always learning new techniques and ways to up my game! Thank you!!
In SC coyotes were introduced to help with Deer population. Not really a help. More help is needed to control Deer population. Farmers that plant soybeans and other crops need more help. Ppl in SC seem unaware that coyotes are a problem. I hear them at night. Of course we know they are out there but no one shares what will be. Done to solve the Coyote problem. Or what needs to be done. I’m concerned for my goats. Or baby calves. ❤️🙏❤️🇺🇸❤️
Thx for everything
New at it & going to try to hunt them this year …. So thinking, I'll do it from a climbing stand so that kinda helps getting scent level not having to worry about it as much while wearing my scent-lok suit …
Going for the first time this year hopefully I can get one
I thought it was pronounced KI-yOt-E. Is it like Tom’s
Any insight on nighttime hunting?
These coyotes been eating my pets where I live, is it legal to hunt them in MICHIGAN?

It was on my land, and i fucked up 😂 i have a quick connect thermal and it wasnt on my rifle yet, i was lookin through it and my call was goin, i look to my right and theres a coyote like 50 yards starin at me 😂 i knew it was about to be gone but i quickly connected it and turned the rifle and it was gone. Pretty sure i scared any others off
I have some coyotes around my home property – very likely they took an elderly small dog of mine. House is way out in the country, basically a farm – does anyone have specific tips for this scenario?

Very detailed , about the different phases of the life cycle of coyotes. I just recently purchased a X24 e- caller . Have been practicing with it on set up . Get familiar with it too. Practiced a bunch with rifles to keep sharp. Have a 20gauge Beretta , # 3 buck for cover . 22- 250 ,
Model 70 , and a browning bar .243 . I live in the North East. Thank you for sharing your in depth knowledge. Regards

Me and some buddies went out, absolutely no clue what we were doing, sat for 3 hours into the night on multiple occasions and didn't see a damn thing. We can use all the help we can get right now.
