Dallas has not played well this year I give them ZERO chance of winning the cup because they are sloppy in their decisions defensively and offensively I don't like Seguin's game and Robertson is kind of idk what is wrong he is seldom effective but what stands out to me his shot selection is really poor.Unless Dallas makes some changes I just don't see them getting past Colo this year and imo Colo goaltending might be suspect.
Dallas needs better D and just better decision making like no stupid passes inside their end get the thing out or up the boards.
What do you mean ”robo has been very productive this season” he hasn’t scored shit. Every game he gets good opportunities and always shoots right at the goalie
Being Finnish is not good enough reason to play Hintz with Rantanen. The chemistry is not of the roof with those two and to be honest Hintz has not been fantastic since the 2023-2024 season. Hintz is good but he doesn't take any shots on goal and Dallas is losing their chance of getting the best out of Rantanen. While Johnston takes the shots. Johnston is also the future of Dallas he would learn a lot playing with Rantanen.
Great Pod Joey. Everyone is a hater these days. Gulley is doing just fine and the battered team is still getting points in a TOUGH first part of the season schedule.
It’s a good line. Maybe as good as the “minute-men” (Pavs, Hintz, Robo), or the “Finnish Mafia”
(Rantanen, Hintz, Granlund). It’s a new line but they do have tenacity for sure. Wasn’t it that line that was in the O zone last game for 2 minutes? They look good for sure. It’s good for sure. It could be great. Time will tell. We need to come up with a name for it.
If the first game of the season is an indication of what we could be? Then I’m all in. That game we looked fast, skilled, physical, and on point. We were just playing with our food at one point. It looked easy in that game. The first three games. But that first game for sure. We were leaps and bounds better than Winnipeg. Yeah we let up and allowed them to come back on us, but we looked really really good in that game before we allowed the comeback from the shorties we gave up. Other than the bad in that game lol, we looked great. I hope we can get back to that. The “playing with our food” aspect. We are that talented. But right now we’re beat up and recovering just trying to hang on. I’m not worried. I was during the 4 game skid but we’ve kind of “righted the ship” so to speak. We endured the storm and I hope we’re coming out of it on the other side a better team. Some guys are getting time that normally wouldn’t be. Ritzy, Erne, Bastion. Those guys are making a difference filling those holes.
Johnston and Rantanen are the best play makers on the team hands down. Having them on ice at the same time is obviously going to give the best scoring opportunities
I think most fans can see the potential the team has currently. Johnston/Rantanen could be the ultimate missing link that pushes them over the line. Just need a couple more guys to raise their game, and obviously people staying healthy.
Ive been saying for awhile that Johnston thrives with a veteran presence on his line. Now make that veteran Mikko and Robo, two of the best scorers in the NHL. That alone is what makes this magical.
