Leafs have a few young guns ready to make jump in 1-2 seasons from now , danford probably will be with leafs next season , william villenuve looks real promising they have to give him a look or two , cade webber is an absolute UNIT in a few he will be ready , they need to get rid of rielly , carlo , benoit , and tanev is one concussion away from retirement…. , henry thrun seems like a good bottom pair guy , im SO DONE with mathews the lifeless captain… This dude could give a fuck half the time … Stolarz falling off a bit like this team needs to turn this around real quick…

It is funny you bring up Binnington because the only reason The Leafs had success last year also was because of goaltending… they looked like garbage last year. I was praying they made no trades at the deadline and here we are. Berube has been an absolute nightmare since he got here.
When the team's leader doesn't really give a sht, that attitude goes through the team. When the team's top RW refuses to even pretend to play some D, that affects the team. When the team's top paid defenceman still can't play D at all after 13 seasons, that hurts the team. This could be a non playoff year, a write off, go back to the drawing board next spring.

We aren’t making playoffs at this rate. Defence without Tanev is trash. Carlo, Rielly and McCabe as of late, just not good enough. Stolarz is ok but not as good as last season. Just in consistent effort.
I hope they don't make the playoffs. Maybe that is what it would take to blow this shit show up and start over. This era in gone and wasted. Trade almost everyone that you can get picks and prospects for and fire Tre. Wiping the slate clean is the only way.
I stopped believing in this core last year. Leafs need to fire Treliving, and hire a new GM who will have the license to start a rebuild. Trade 34, 88, 91, 44. Build around Knies. Keep Cowan. Their 1st is top 5 protected so it's green light to finish bottom 5.
The LEAFS werent good enough and now they are worse. Its an average team that cannot win a cup that is getting older. If the goaltending improves they can hide the defects.
Let's just drive another star player away from the team. Toxic fans are killing this team. They just had their best season in 20 years. Could have been even better this year. Not now.
