   Under Dan Bylsma Pens were 37 – 11 in shootouts, number 1 in NHL. They seemingly ended every practice with a SO, remember Mustache boy? Fleury now has the most SO wins in history. Letang was basically a lock every time, also. They have to practice shootouts to have shootout success

   I firmly believe that Karlsson mainly cares about Karlsson. He is not a team player. He plays for himself. He has his eyes on Team Sweden. That's it. Karlsson always gets the best L-D man. He wanted the Pens to plant themselves in front of the net for him. I'm not saying he's not an elite player. But he will always come before the team.

    So, 3 things re 65. 1. It's interesting that, in the past, you have poo pooed =/-. Now you cite it in your argument in support. 2. If 65 is so great at 3 on 3, how come no 3 on 3 points? 3. yes, 65 is having a great season. My reply would be: "it's about flippin' time. Call this a poor man's rant if you like. But I say when someone is paid that much money to play a game, they SHOULD do so with consistent excellence. Mario once said, "I make the most, so I should do the most". Someone outta tell that to Watt.

    Hey DK, why is everyone afraid to say it, since Karlsson got to Pittsburgh from San Jose, he wasn't having fun, and neither were many of the guys. This year we see Karlsson flying, making plays on both sides of the puck, he's constantly chatting up his team on the bench, and boy he's smiling and having fun…….so what is different? I even think he made light of it the other day in an interview. I think there is a bit of a coincidence on the stumbles this team had over the last five years and what is happening in New York, what could it be?
    I don't disagree with you too often DK, but the idea of Rust on the USA team floors me. His skating, puck handling, and skill set would be exposed more then it already is and I guarantee he won't see any ice on line one or two, he'd be lucky to get on line three or four if he made the ice at all. People make it out that he's a pivotable piece and carrys the offense, at the oympics he definitely won't have Sid. Simpliy put he's not big enough, fast enough, or talented enough to make that squad and I think because of who he plays with people think he's better than he is………does he make Crosby better, the answer is no. No offense to Kunitz, he was a way better player than Rust, when they brought him to the Olympics for Sid and he just wasn't effective and the dynamic duo were split up.

    shootouts are such a different thing from hockey. they should just play UNO for the point and be done with it…. or add a dman chaser.
