  1. I’m sick of Matthews. This guy is so soft and I have been a Matthews defender. Guy is lethargic can’t win a battle

  2. Stolarz getting ran a few times early in the season with no response from the boys caused him to call them out which has led to this team looking like strangers that don't like eachother.
All at a time when they needed the opposite of that to happen with a bunch of new guys looking to gel

  3. Ya guys gotta keep doing the show no matter what happens. If Matthews isn’t injured they should maybe try to bring in Deboer. If he is, they should just tank – might be forced to.

  4. this is the most unlikeable team ever, they have been for years. ive watched for nearly 40 years and i dont even watch them anymore…i think i have watched 5 periods all year. i say trade them all at this point and start fresh.

  5. Are we really talking about quitting on Berube already? If that's true then this team IS SOFTER THEN BABY FOOD and Matthews is NO LEADER

  6. All problems were hidden by the Leafs scoring their way out of trouble. They've had high offensive talent and no team cohesive mentality.
They have to overcome their egos and gel. That's the only way. When the going gets tough the tough get going. Players have to look in the mirror and start competing. Firing and blowing it up is not an option.

  7. I got laughed at before the season started for saying this team will finish 6th in the division.

  8. Nylander has no rights to be pissed off the only reason he has as many points as he does is because he cheats and his defensive play is literally atrocious. He the highest paid winger in the game he needs to be doing more away from the puck to earn that.

  9. You asked for some positivity. The Leafs always walked to the playoffs. The only time this team has ever faced adversity is when their season is on the line and they don’t know how to play loose in big games. This year if, big if, but if they’re going to turn this around it’s going to be by playing full 60 minutes and out working the other team. They can’t Harlem globetrotter their way thru the season. They’re going to have to work and play winning style hockey every game in order to win. If they do turn it around by the time game 83 gets here playing hard will be their new norm. If they don’t then they’ll get embarrassed night in and night out.

  10. If the captain of your team isnt playing with urgency on the ice or isnt being a leader on the bench/locker room, why should the rest of the team/depth players play with any type of urgency? Like its hard not to think the star players(i.e captain amongst others) are only playing for a paycheck and not playing to win. Embarrassing.

  11. Marchand or Gordie Howe is clearly the #1 Leaf killer or maybe Gretzky.

Gordie Howe had 369 points vs them in 367 games (RS + PO). No one else ever is even above 225 points.

Gretzky also murdered them. 169 points in only 76 games (2.2 points per game)!

Most points against the leafs in the playoffs?

Howe 53 points in 55 games
Marchand 37 points in 35 games
    8 other guys between 25-35
    Pasta 24 in 21 games.

Saying Pasta is the #1 Leaf killer is objectively wrong. Marchand 5-0 vs Leafs in game 7s with 7 points (5 goals) and +7!

Love the bi-polar leaf content! Always entertaining!🤌🏽

  12. I would say half the team is putting in an honest effort. The other guys look timid bc their unsure of their role.. They seem abit confused. The Leafs I would say every year look like they're declining. Players just don't want to have an identity that's defense style.

  13. Conspiracy Theory: Auston & Mitch secretly coordinate multi stage "COVERT OPERATION: SCREW THE LEAFS". Phase 1: Mitch Leaves. Phase 2: Leafs miss playoffs. Phase 3: Fans turn on Auston. Phase 4: Auston Leaves.

  14. I’ve been saying it for a few seasons now that the Leafs should try spotting the other team a couple goals to start the game. What would they have to lose?

  15. Watching young fast Canadiens with envy tells me they should trade the big names for draft choices and rebuild. Give us at least some hope for the future. Matthews, Nylander isn’t going to get it done. There is no heart here.

  16. I think the contender window is now firmly shut. We are seriously at risk of not making the playoffs.
Are Leafs sellers at the deadline? … Does that mean we are in rebuild mode, because this team doesn't have it.

  17. This team lacks FOFA attitude with its soft leadership. Need a leadership change. Iam taking about making Tanev the captain. Does anyone else in the league have more battle scars? Every team wants a guy with his grit. He’s a Canadian boy that understands and can respond to the game as it’s changing. Think of hockey like a war. Who do you want to be your leader?
