Could someone who knows better explain why Bouchard is on on the ice when Edmonton is shorthanded? First of all he doesnt block shots, he does not play defense in front of the net. He is allways standing and watching the plays in front of the net. Is Edmonton coaching staff really that dumb or what is it?

Those cross-ice pass attempts always make me nervous. More often than not, they get deflected or picked off, then you're fishing the puck out of your net while the other team celebrates. Like a quarterback thinking he has an open receiver, then a hidden defender gets into the lane in the last moment.
Also, I think we should have electronic devices over the blue lines that make a sound when a player is offside. The amount of goals that have been overturned because someone was barely offside is getting ridiculous. Or have the defensive zones light a pale yellow on a delayed offside, and a pale red when the puck is carried across the blue line after a teammate.
