Calgary hate Treliving. No trades will ever happen between Calgary & Toronto until either Treliving leaves or the Calgary upper Management/Ownership all leave at once. Not going to happen, ever, ever, ever! Calgary only use Toronto's interest as a tool to show the other clubs what Calgary has in demand. You can bet Calgary initiate these rumours too.

The Leafs should signed free agents Brent Burns and Cory Perry.. Both are older guys so they were signed cheap and would definitely bring the DNA the Leafs need. Perry is a tough to play against guy who scores big goals when needed. Burns is a big strong puck moving defenseman. These guys would help give the Leafs the in the playoffs. The Leafs have possibly 2-3 years before blowing things up. Older guys yes, but the Leafs only have a couple more years to win the cup. They would have given the Leafs one last push. After that, the team will change drastically and start building. Your thoughts please…

Yea, that's obviously a bad trade idea. But you guys know you're negotiating from a place of weakness right? The season's going poorly, players are underperforming, and you're trying to make a desperation move. You think Lorentz or Blais are desirable? If you want someone who can actually move the needle, you're going to need to give up your assests that have actual value (Cowen, your last 1st round pick, etc.)
