That attempt to challenge the first goal was just sad. Anyone with common sense could see nothing was keeping the goalie from making a play and thank god the refs didn’t cave for once.

Bedard is skilled but he’s no Kane (at that age). Kane’s speed and wrist shot were equal to Bedard’s but his stick handling and passing were far superior. So if Bedard is lesser than Kane, the hawks are also without a Toews-like centreman (not to mention nobody close to Keith and Seabrook who were already on the team before Kane and Toews arrived). I don’t see this group competing for a cup. They’ll eventually be playoff-bound next season, but Nazar is no Toews and all the other pieces are missing, including a Sharp, Hossa, Byfuglien, and physical guys like Bolland, Brouwer, etc.
