  1. I feel like that call is the same as the horvat call. As an Islanders fan, this isn't a real win. It's a ref win.

  2. Yes some people might argue he was pushed into Rittich, but as a player you still have to control your body. That’s goalie inference. Right call to overturn the goal.

  3. I’m disappointed but it’s one game in an 82 game regular season against an out of conference opponent, it’s not like it cost us a playoff game/series or the cup
It does suck that this is the first time our existence is acknowledged in 5 days by the league. I’m so tired of being overshadowed in this league FOR NO REASON

  4. To everyone crying about this. The first contact from skate to pad wasn't influenced by the defence men crosschecking. That contact intially made the goalie turn away from the puck and lose balance and would have happened either way as he is the one trying to play the puck in front of the net

  5. For anyone wanting to see the rule, it’s on page 154 of the NHL rules book 2025.

Robertson was in the crease and made contact with goalie before being touched by defenseman and never made a reasonable effort to avoid contact. Goal is disallowed.

  6. The refs on the ice called it a good goal.

    Situation room overturned.

    Not the refs fault.

  7. This is just my theory of the call I’m not a rules analyst, keep that in mind. This is the correct call, wait just wait. Hold yourself, from the past couple NHL games where Goaltender Interference was reviewed and called. All of the games had AT LEAST the Interfering player inside the crease (blue paint). In this clip it looks like Robinson clearly goes into the blue paint on his own. Yes I can see the argument of woah he was pushed into the goalie. Since Robinson skated into the crease all on his own, and tbh the islanders player wasn’t really able to catch up to Robinson. The outcome never would have changed anyways. All because Robinson went into the crease freely with the strong amount of speed into the goaltender. But yes I can see both arguments, but I agree more with the call the Referees make after the review.

  8. Robertson skates into the crease, goes from being able to scrum in the front and fight for position to be knocked over uncontrollably by a defenseman who is falling over himself?

  9. Anyone who reads the rule and watches the GOAL — know it was a good goal…

That said, we can settle this later and keep the refs off the scoreboard!

  10. From someone whose a fan of neither team, I feel its close and could gone either way initially but to overturn the call on the ice after it appears the islanders player pushed him into the goal tender. I'd say that should have stayed as a goal.

  11. Terrible call somehow having review made them worse at getting goalie interference calls right

  12. What’s the point of calling anyways? Own defence often pushes the opposing player into their goalie.

  13. The NHL situation room has not been cooking at all lately. It feels like they will only side with the team they want to win for profits

  14. This video doesn't show a replay long enough back to know for sure how much Robertson contributed to contacting Rittich.

  15. If I was a Stars fan I would be pissed too.
Just as much I was pissed when the Kyle Palmari “goaltender interference” when the CBJ gk was clearly out of the crease. (That ended up costing us the playoffs last season pretty sure but we got Schaffer from that so I’m fine)
This was a close call considering it did kinda pull Dave out the net but also Pullock kinda pushed robo into him.
