Lifelong Sabre fan and I don’t even watch anymore. If they win, I’ll watch the highlights. The only game I’ve been to in 2+ years was the Rob Ray hall of fame game last year because I got a free ticket. It’s hard to care anymore. Thanks Kevyn and Terry.

It was bad, but I think a better idea instead of living and dying with individual games in an 82-game season is to look at 10-game segments. 3-5-2 in the 2nd 10-game segment after going 4-4-2, 12 of 20 overall were at home. That's not good either, but looking bigger picture is better than saying that the team has "turned the corner" 6 or 7 times per season like Paul Hamilton does because they won a couple games. They're probably still a team that finishes in the mid-80s in points and their biggest weapon has been opponents not taking them seriously. And no, no one is getting traded until after the Olympics because no one is other than minor leaguer deals like Dennis Gilbert going back to Ottawa.

I often wondered if we had a locker room MacKinnon….we need someone that will yell at the guys, not be their best friend. You need to establish to the rest of the group that the team needs a guy that they absolutely do not want to be yelled at again. I can't even say Tage would be that guy because he is a proud Christian and that's good on him, but you need someone that will swear at any slackers in the room and call them out by name, and I don't think Tage has that in him.
