And here’s a reason most people hate Toronto fans Steve. The minute that dermis guy was called up most Toronto fans were bashing it saying give that to a younger guy. He comes up plays well and scores a goal to get Toronto back in the game like. It’s the epitome of Toronto fans. Coaches know what they’re doing most of the time when calling up players. Sure fans sometimes get mad when certain players screw up but then move on. Toronto fans will bash and bash and bash and not let it go. You just cant do that. Even you do that sometimes Steve. And i get it youre heated in the moment. And you usually at the same time try to see the good in the player also. But man Toronto fans need to chill sometimes over something as simple as an ahl call up

Islanders fan here.I marvel at the way JT is still playing every night .His work ethic each shift is increasing as he ages and he always gave 100 % .He goes to the net more now , plays with no fear and still has speed ,There is no one who can tell me that he doesnt have at least 3 more years left ,maybe 4 .If Ovechkin can throw down 40-45 goals a year at age 39 and 40 i see nothing stopping Tavares from scoring 30 and hitting 600 goals and being a major asset till age 38,39 .
