Another decade of darkness…
The first question is: Who do we lose from the team?
Second: For a team that doesn't excel at development – how many picks can we afford to lose?
It's ironic, that the Ducks trade for two of the Rangers former leaders in the locker room that they wanted to get rid of badly. Now, those two players are key pieces in a young talented group of kids an leading them to success, while the Rangers regress game by game. Way to go Drury, GM of the F'ing year…… FFS.
Is it the Rangers dont develop players, or is it their scouting team is not very good? With all the non development issues, you would think with top 10 picks over the past years you would get lucky at least a couple times. Maybe their scouting of the draft is suspect.
Have to disagree on Seuss. He's terrible because he can't skate at an NHL level. I wouldn't even keep him on the third pair. If Rangers trade for a LD, they need to go after Byram who wants out of Buffalo. Last night the Pack defeated the Wikes-Barrre Pens who outshot them big time. How? Callum Tung, who should have started in Hartford, not Boyko, was outstanding. Pack have won last two games with him in net. Yet Drury, the dumbass, goes and gets a mediocre goalie in Martin, when he has the guy in Bloomington, that he needs to develop in the AHL. Potulny has been using bad lines like Sullivan. But last night he had Berard-Roobroeck-Othmann together even though they didn't dominate. Gabe was back with Dowling & Chmelar & Terrance was with Sykora after he was saddled with two slugs all season. The D is in flux & Morrow needs to go back. They are also missing Scanlin which hurts. BTW, Casey Fitzgerald has been really good out there, even though he is not considered a prospect.
