A pretty good game but our puck luck cost us the game two of the Avs goals were because of fun puck bounces and Jake got a goal taken away from him due to the puck rolling on him now we will beat them on Tuesday because no team in nhl gets lucky twice no matter how good they are.
Yep never addressed their goalie situation, traded away another prospect.. Give DeSmith a chance in the playoffs at least his glove hand is better, the team seems to kind of sleep when he's back there though. Both guys too small and Legace who is better and inspires more than these two is still injured it seems.
I'm 99% positive McKinnon purposefully shot 5 feet wide because he knew it would bounce right to the other side of the net. Could have been just a terrible shot and lucky bounce, but he had no pressure on him, so I'm pretty sure it was just a brilliant and well executed play.
This is not the same pens from jan-feb. Avs wanted it more and pens look tired and not interested. Sloppy play, turnovers, and are they trying to break the record for icing? Almost think it's just for them to take a break. With 12 to go they better set the sails for a run in the playoffs. Last years 1st round exit was embarrassing. They have the talent just need to clean some things up. Sullivan needs to do his job as well and get these guys ready for every game. Let's Go Pens!
We gotta at least get to the finals this year. It's gonna be tough if Mac can't stay healthy, but honestly all he has to do is not get in fights lol. This is just too good a team, too scary and fast a roster to not win it all. Biggest problem is the west doesn't provide us a ton of competition so we aren't tested as much as we need to be. My biggest positive note is that Kuemper is becoming really stout. He's shutting down teams at a scoring rate I didn't know he had. Keep rolling avs.

Historic regular season for Avs. That being said, almost everyone knows the expectations for this team are clearly in PO at this point.

As an Avs fan, I’m extremely grateful we aren’t in the East.
The line of Nichuskin-Compher-Lehkonen looked real good today. They forechecked hard and had a lot of good looks at the net.

Great game. Very fast paced and exciting. Excellent goalkeeping at both ends was the only thing that kept the scores low. Lots of Grade A chances.
