To Piggyback off the getting Ellis/Schroeder and giving up Vincent/Knecht and a 2nd. After that we need to go ALL IN on Herb Jones.
Package Rui the 2031 (1st) and 1or 2 (1st rd) pick swaps for Jones.
Reasons:
Rui: an elite 3pt shooter 45% as of now. Can really only play the 4 and doesn't have the lateral quickness to play the 3. Is an average below average defender. Has a very desirable expiring contract. Lakers may not want to committ to him long-term because of his defensive limitations.
Jones: an ELITE Super Sayian defender. Can defend 1-4. Can be our point of attack defender. Is an above average 3pt shooter (36.2%). Has a favorable contract. Will slot in PERFECTLY with Luka and Reaves. Luka said pre-season that he wanted him. Is perfect for what the Lakers need both immediately and long-term.

I’ll take Adou, Dalton and the assets. With health can’t see the Adou leash holding past New Years. And his emergence changes all the minutes. He’s fluid and aggressive. That’s spells rotation at minimum.
Also think the Lakers are playing coy and measured with Adou, while getting final assessments on Maxi, Jake and the like. They know he’s coming, so this is the “first 25 games” to see the rest with strong minutes
Keon ain even all that good. Its not worth it at all. Especially with the 1st round pick.
Adou is miles better than this guy and you get to keep Dalton who has potential for getting hot sometimes which is what this team lacks.
i'd trade vando and a First for keon and saric… i ain't letting a guy that gets DNPs on a team that needs defense when whis whole stint Is defense and effort get 10 m a year for the next 4 years… not on my team, clear the books then trade Dalton a second and swaps for another wing
If we think Keon Ellis is valuable, do you think other teams will too? How likely is it that we're outbid for his services? I would think the league values 3 & D players like platinum over the last decade. If he's this good and cheap I have trouble understanding why he's not getting playing time. But if we can get him, he's exactly who I want on our squad. He'd actually save us a lil money this year.
Ellis has good stats. Hes listed as 6'4 though which I highly doubt since he looks like hes about 6'6-6'7 on the court!

No matter what trade Lakers make, they are not contending anything until they make Reaves the 6th man. People need to realize that Luka and Reaves backcourt is hurting the team defensively.
Why do you like Keon Ellis? He only scores 6.2 pts a game. Looked at his games he doesn't have any impressive games. I think the coach should give Knecht more opportunities instead of just garbage time and let him stroke that 3 ball. I don't think Knecht gets the opportunity to see what he's capable of.
