Maybe you pckg him, along with a roster player on an expiring deal and a first for a Jordan Kyrou or an Owen tippet. Not sure if that would be enough to get one of those guys but I feel if we could add some secondary scoring with some term that would be great!

  2. Jets they goota get a guy like Brady Tachuck get rid of five players Perfetti in the package Shen to win a cup you need a wow player ? If not your golfing again may 1st our Geriatric players not cutting it.

  3. Basically, another reactive trade will be made by Chevy. Had Lambo not asked for a trade, Chevy wouldn't have been proactive in trying to get him moved.

And I do think Lambo needs a breath of fresh air, and go to a team that will actually give him the room to learn and play through his mistakes.

  4. Samberg and Perfetti have been the only 2 draft picks to become regulars on this team since 2017. So either the Jets aren't drafting well, or they're not doing a good job at developing their prospects. Or even hindering the development of prospects with the constant need to give deference to older vets over the prospects.

Laine wanted to leave. McGroarty wanted out. We also lost two blueliners in Chisholm & Kovacevic for nothing, who both have gone on to be regulars on other teams. We lost Michael Eyssimont for nothing on waivers, and he's become solid middle 6-type player. And Leon Gawanke was a RHD with a hard, heavy shot, that tied for the most defensemen goals in the AHL in his last year. He signed in Germany because he wasn't getting his chance.

It's not a good trend for the draft & development model of this team. They're drafting a lot, but not developing them well enough to actually play and contribute.

  5. 🤔 Well if Lamby wants out, find a way to move him and get someone good back like.. another "Party" type player…cue the Macarena music. lol

  6. I think Jets Management are terrible at Draft and Development. They made one move to move up at the draft and we’ve had to hold onto that player for a decade to prove to themselves they were right. They have a skeleton crew to scout talent compared to other teams. They keep picking players who “ fall to them” without analyzing why they are falling. Lambert and Kupari are similar players in that they are all tools and no tool kit. They both could have been flipped early on but now are worth nothing. We are currently seeing the Moose destroy Barlow who had a great Camp. Now he’s bottom of the roster and limited minutes. Genius.

  7. Still, is dumping Lambert or Chibrikov to maintain Tanner Pearson wise in the long run?

  8. Sadly it's nothing new
I don't blame Brad or if other prospects like Chibrikov want out it's best trade them get value instead of waste value like Heinola til worthless.

Jets USED to be a draft and develop team. Now they block paths with 30+ year olds. I hope they learn when Yager/Salmonsson are ready they need to change.
What's #1 issue the teams old and slow Lowry deserves contract but he will be 37 when done same with Scheifele,Hellebuyck,Connor even guys like Toews,Nyquist,Nino,Iafallo,Namestnikov,Pearson arnt young most are signed there's no where for prospects to make team. Morrissey will be next get 7yr deal til late 30s.

Because Chipman believes in loyalty and family things are attractive to players to sign. Is also a detriment to unwilling trade guys or move them out to make room prospects.

JetsHub mentioned Kyrou,Tippett,Tuch as possible Jets trad partners but Jets would need add more.
And we can guess names all we want
But it is an issue with organization.

I'd even be open if you are going do this with prospects move them for a younger prospect like Mcgroarty for Yager push back development.
Like a Lambert for Lindstrom,Parascak,Lakovic,Mcqueen guys taking longer road in NCAA or 18/19 instead 21/22yrs old.

I don't want Salmonsson,Yager,Barlow,Bomediene,Freijs feel same way Brad does. If you don't value youth move them for an established youth or give them a chance elsewhere.
Example a Lambert+3rd for Benson or a few prospects/picks for Byram. Your not sacrificing age.
    Example
    Lambert+Chibrikov+3rd for Tippett

Even Salmonsson ik team likes him but if you D*ck him around trade him + 1st or package for Byram it's not like 20yrs to 24 is huge gap and ones more established.

It bothers me when in past Sbisa,Bitetto,Beaulieu,Stanley were given chances over Heinola.
    Or Toninato,Pearson,Koepke over Chibrikov/Lambert.
-Ik you like Gus he and Vesalainen were pushed behind Harkens,Bourque,Shaw,Luoto,Lewis,Thompson,Sanford,Eyssimont,Kuhlman, meanalainen,AJF,Toninato which I feel is wrong.

  9. Harrison: The only way for the Jets to get good draft picks is if they start tanking. Doing well in regular season and getting a high 20s draft pick, only to get bounced in the playoffs right away gets you no where in any direction. Either trade to win now, or if you can't or won't then start tanking to get top 10 picks.

  10. Look at the Moose roster and the scoring these guys have done…unless these young players are getting limited ice time….the offensive numbers of these future NHL'ers are not very good.

Heinola was hoping to be scooped up on waivers and is not putting up the kind of numbers that would scream "he should be in the NHL." He's got 1 goal and 4 assists in 16 games and is a team worse -14. Those are not strong numbers and he would likely pass through waivers again unless he came up and managed to impress.

If Lambert wants to impress anyone he needs to be clipping close to a point per game in the AHL if he's hoping to get some NHL looks.

I applaud Chevy for being willing to say something like…'We like you, we want you to have success and if that means somewhere else, have a look around and we'll do our best to help.'
