@Capitals de Washington

Dobes has been struggling since the moment he cried after after letting in an OT goal. This guy needs a strong #1 goalie beside him. He's not mentally ready to handle pressure.

  2. 'Declawed' is an absolute best way to describe what Marty (St. Louis) has done to Arber Xhekaj.
    – if he plays the style of good defensive hockey (as he was taught) , he gets benched.
    – if he sticks up for a teammate after a bad hit (as he was taught) , he gets benched.
    – if he tries playing a 200 ft. game like he did in the OHL (as he was taught) , he gets benched.
    – if he tries to do none of the above and keep Marty happy , he still gets benched.
[Arber has played less than 10 min. a game so far this season.]

Arber is in a 'no win' situation when it comes to trying find a fit with St. Louis' current coaching style.

  3. It baffles me how some think Montembeault is a starting goalie when he was literally a free waiver pick up from Florida…

  4. Ever since St Louis endorsed Montembault and kept going with him when Dobes was 6-0-1 with a .950 save percentage, Dobes has been lacking confidence, or drive. I feel like the team is losing confidence in the coach now.
Has St Louis lost this team? Probably not yet. Has he lost the goaltenders? Most likely. I'll admit, injuries aren't helping but they still have enough to put together a few decent lines.

Just my two cents. I hope I'm wrong.

  5. I'm so tired of people saying that xhekaj being "unleashed" would fix some of our problems. no. he is a bad player who roughs people up and maybe gets some stick claps after fighting, he was never good, stop pretending like he's any engine for the team. is standing up for your players good? sure. but it would go like 2% of the way to fixing the team's issues. if anything, if we really wanted the best outcome available, then we could potentially harm engstrom's development and move him up to take xhekaj's spot because he's actually a player

  6. They were winning g on rookie juice and playing soft teams.
Now they are tired and playing tougher teams.
    That's why roles exist.
    That's why systems exist.
    That's why Coaches get fired.

  7. Note MSL’s increasingly grey hairs coming in ? ..we HAVE a great Team and lm sure this slump will pass..Arbor is either injured or had one nut cut off.you only need one so he will be back !

  8. Right now the habs only issue is goaltending and it seems both goalies have been stricken with the "shit the beds"

  9. Who agrees that Wilson did not get a penalty because he is being touted for Team Canada. They don’t want to hurt his changes.

  10. Florian Xhekaj is going to get his chance to prove he 'belongs' on this Canadiens team tonight. I'm hoping he is not being brought up just for his fighting ability. Go HABs.

  11. Besides anything, Dobes were 6-0-0 until they decided to save Monty. They didn't get Monty back and took down Dobes' confidence. And now, we're struggling because the forwards aren't scoring as they did in October too. It seems everybody forgot how to hockey in November

  12. youre 100% right on the Xhekaj thing, I rarely have anything negative to say about Marty, and hes made him a more responsible player but we need Arber to be himself out there

  13. lol dude it's not the 70's anymore were there was 8 teams and they smoked while playing lol. there's now 32 teams and they all have amazing players. They make millions the all quit smoking and train like there's no tommorow lol Montreal will never ever win the cup because first of all no big star will come here because the idiot fake fans disrespect them so much on social media and the media does the same. Second they have way more taxe cuts, 50% to be exact. So I have zero expectations, it's just a sport of luck at this level. the last team in the league can win against the best and vice versa, get it? I dont care if they lose, knowing how sports works. Today can be a good day or it could be a bad day, depending on the other teams day lol

  14. The problem with hasbeen is not enough Canadian players . Stop going to get midgets in the states . Management are a bunch of losers . Get Canadian talent , god knows we have a lot up North .

  15. To beat on a PETRIFIED NOTHING-FIED dead horse

IVE NEVER LIKED montembeault as SOON AS HE WAS LET GO by the Panthers, they KNEW what the what Panthers were doing😂

They let Us claimed that EMPTY NET35 guy because Panthers KNEW Milliion Goal Montembeault NOT PANTHER
