Do you have to be listed as a defenseman or just be playing the point and going into a scrum for the face-off to be moved to the neutral zone? Power plays usually have one defenseman and sometimes no defenseman and also usually are set up with only one pointman. How do they interpret these special cases because you can have five players in a scrum and still keep your offensive zone face-off depending on the interpretation.
Unfortunately I've watched far less hockey this year due to refs. When they control who gets 2 points because of their feelings integrityof fhe game is gone, the league should spend more time training refs, instead of spending time deciding punishments for players who refuse to march the gay pride parade
It's really amazing how the GMs and owners doesn't do anything about these bad refs and bad calls. Imagine if this was a playoff game or the final game for the cup.
