@Sabres de Buffalo

1. Kevyn Adams is not the problem, he is a symptom of the problem. The problem is Terry Pegula. If Pegula sacks Adams, the new GM will be similarly inexperienced so that Pegula can micro manage the Sabres from a distance. That said, I do no trust Adams to make a good deal if Tuch decides he does not want to re-sign in Buffalo.

We need a Director of Hockey Ops to insulate the new GM from Pegula (please not Brendan Shanahan). Failing that we need a new owner if such a knight in shining armour exists.

P.S. Whilst Ralph Krueger was a terrible coach, he was still a hockey man, The outlier was his spell as a cheif executive at a football club.

  2. This is why I said on a few of WGRs videos that the Sabres lack and Elite level scorer with an Elite shot. Someone like an Eichel or Satan are examples what I am saying. Someone that can score from anywhere on the ice. Tage has an Elite shot too however the Sabres have only Tage. They need to get help for Tage and take the pressure off the younger players. Seeing Rosen I think he may possess this shot however he is still young even if I feel he should be on the team right now being a shooter.
Maybe the Sabres should trave Byram for Tippet if that trade is still out there because Tippet can take the pressure off the younger players.
The Sabres now have a much better 2 way game. They no longer just have players just playing out on the periphery. Doan, Benson, Tuch, Greenway and others will play in and around the net which is good. Quinn has a good shot but is too much like Stafford to be counted on to help out this team more than a depth scorer. Norris should just retire because of injuries though if he was healthy he could fill this role. We just need 1 more player like this to help advance the team.
The Sabres also need a 2nd line center. Sorry but McLeod is not this though he has the speed. We may want to keep Ostlund there for now. He is earning his spot for sure. I still think he is not fully ready however he is showing he is nearly ready for the NHL just like Rosen was showing he is just about there too. Kulich would be the #2 center and would be fine but he is out with blood clots.

  3. The Sabres’ current situation is akin to Buddy Nix Era of the Buffalo Bills’ drought, where “exhaustive searches” for coaches, GMs, and player talent are limited to who is already in town.

Like, would anyone be surprised if Darcy Regier returned?

Also, does anybody have the real story about why Jack Eichel was allowed to leave – why they wouldn’t agree to the surgery while the eventual champs would? They should give a real account of what happened as it makes the organization look incredibly foolish

  4. For the last teo games, the Sabres were over 70% on Moneypuck's "Deserve-to-win-o-meter". Losing both games, and one of them 5-0, is borderline impossible and probably an NHL record. The actual vs expected goals for/against is totally unprecedented

  5. it is reasonable to think Terry is actively shopping the franchise. He would not keep Adams this long. Tin foil hat aside, selling the team in the cards.

  6. 6:06 Terry Pegula is in the Epstein files and Kevyn Adams knows it. He had to have so much dirt in Terry to have the job security that he does

  7. If you're expecting Adams to be fired, don't hold your breath. This owner has proven he doesn't care about this team. I expect Adams to get another extension although I really want him fired….. INTO THE SUN

  8. Buffalo outplayed NJ. We just ran into a hot goalie. I stopped listening to u guys in the mourning because u guys don’t know what you’re talking about half the time.

  9. If we just call Levi in and put him in net until the end of the season so he can get experience to get him ready to start as our " franchise goalie" next season.

Would it realy matter to the standings at the end of this year?

I think our 3 goalie roulette doesnt help us either.

So wjy not invest in Levi right now?

  10. Im so annoyed with the schizophrenia of this team. One week were talking about themlooking good and being back and climbing the standings, the next we're calling for everyone to be fired

  11. The Sabres have to take big swings, because what they’re doing isn’t working consistently enough. Heads need to start rolling, but not only that (because we’ve played musical chairs with coaches and GMs for a decade) we need to put people in those roles who give a damn and actually support them.

  12. You got beaten by a better team. Get over it. Also, Allen is not the Devils' starting goaltender. Markstrom is. Get a clue.

  13. Any of the player moves that come should follow the changing of the GM. After the Norris trade, Adams cannot be trusted to make another transaction. Two players I'd add – after changing the GM – are Miles Wood and Paul Cotter.
