They over play to much Connor by the time Connor needs a surgery or even make the playoffs he’s tired
It’s a tough time to be a Jets fan.
I believe they can get it together and once they overcome this period of adversity, they’ll dominate.
I thought they were just giving Salomonsson a rest in the predators game but continuing to sit him and play Schenn is not playing to win. His side gives other teams a guaranteed zone entry. wtf
Is it a strong draft year?
Can't have the two turtles 19 and 91 on the same line. Put each of them with some crazy rabbits and maybe they'll find more space. Problem is, even on defense they are short of crazy rabbits.
Chevy needs to do something to shake up this team. They clearly need more speed. Schenn has to sit, Koepke needs to play. But Koepke and Salo are not going to turn this around, more help is needed. There has to be some GM in the league who will make a deal. Though I know it is tough to make a good trade from a a position of weakness.
This game is among the worst in the past 2 seasons. The Jets are a positional team that is playing out of position. They are not a run and gun team. Play defense or lose. Team leadership needs to step up.
They have no confidence in their goalies. Until they do, none of these resilts will change.
But really, this goes back to last seasons trade deadline when they got Tanev back.
The Jets were the top team in the nhl, they were big and fast, they were incredible at puck poasession. They simply did not let the opponent have the puck.
At the deadlibe, they reacquire Tanev who was a Jet in the Byfuglien days. When they ran around body checking everything in sight. If you are hitting, you don't have the puck. Bringing back Tanev obliterated their game. They are back to being the team that floundered after Buff quit.
This is ALL on Arniel. HE needs to get his team back on track.
Its time to go for draft picks, I hate to say it. we are too old, and I don't see any of our young players as being anything better than a second or third line player. time to tank to make our team better in the future. I don't say that lightly
Hey Connor and Remo, I waited till morning to watch this, such huge disappointment in how the boys crapped the bed again last night. So my thoughts are:
1. Re the stats about Lowry and Toews: I've notice Captain Lowry is struggling every time he's on the ice. He's stiff in his movements. Thinking he may have to go back onto IR for a bit as I don't think he's healed yet from the surgery he had. If that would happen, Barron moved to that line could help with the speed aspect and he did well with the duties earlier in the season. I think Barron is underused where he is. Or if Lowry stays in the lineup, put Barron on that line and let him cook with Lowry.
JT did well when he had kids on his line… and it was more successful than what he's currently got with Vladdy and Perfetti. I'm thinking also that he's feeling the strain of a long hockey season and it's affecting his output.
2. Milic needs to be given a series of games to be in net. Reason for that is look at the stats from last night. Milic played 40 mins and had an .882 save percentage compared to .786 save percentage for Comrie in 20 mins. This is also my entry for stats of the game… Comrie HAS to raise his game, can't be letting in 3 goals on 14 shots anymore. This has to be rock bottom.
My hardest working Jet was Stanley… because he seemed to be one of the only guys who was engaged out there and he was sticking up for his teammates. There is going to be a bigger market demand for him with how he's playing and I really have appreciated what he's bringing to this team.
