🔗 https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/philadelphia-flyers-interested-trade-vancouver-canucks-quinn-hughes-foerster-york-drysdale-martone X – https://x.com/HWhockeyX IG – https://www.instagram.com/hwhockeyig/ #sportsnet #philadelphiaflyers #nhl

Your looking at at least 2 1st round picks if your trading for Quinn. I like Tippett for sure, but you’re bidding against a lot of other teams.
When an elite player might be a available…it's always worth looking at and considering.
With that said … Is an elite Dman really….what we need right now? I would say … absolutely not. We need an Elite 1C! Hell… A solid 2C right now. Center …is the single biggest hole on this roster.
The entire Defense has shown improvement over last year and Risto is still out. The solid Goal Tending by Vladar is likely the reason for the statistical improvement. He may just end up being the real solid Tender we've need for so long.
I do not want to see top prospects and draft picks pissed away…. To fill the second primary issue with the roster. I'd rather see the primary hole dealt with.
Lastly…for a young player that wants to be an 80s Sutter Brother….lol. Play with his Bros….will he want to move to a team in the same division? Of course not.
I think this is just a lot of wasted air. I don't see Danny and Jones making this move. They have been rebuilding conservatively…the right way… And making this move just doesn't make sense. My vote…if I had one ..😉….hard pass! Unless…it's some crazy deal we would be crazy to pass on.
So say we trade for him, then he doesn't resign. Then what?
B, but short term our winger scoring is going to suffer without Tippett and the injured Forester. Be nice to extend Hughes contract.
Porter Martone absolutely should not be off the table for Hughes, not only is winger the only position of strength the flyers have moving forward, do you know how good Martone would have to be to end up regretting that trade? He’d literally have to be the best winger in the NHL to maybe regret the move. Hughes is generationally great, and if traded for and resigned would end up being the best d man in there history. If for some reason he refused to resign you just flip him to a team that’s all in to win a cup for a prospect comparable to Martone, and maybe at a more pressing position
B
Package A is a HUGE oversell. Swap Bump for Barkey and drop it down to a 2nd round pick, and you have a deal.
The Nucks would want a 2C so maybe Luchenko, York, 1st and another high prospect.
York might not go as he and Zegras are best buds and that really helps on a team.
Me, okay, I don't mind giving up some of the AHL/College guys (Bump, Barkey), Tippett, Drysdale or Andre….and the 27 pick
Still upset they passed on Cale Makar for Nolan Patrick.
The problem with Hughes going to Philadelphia is the team, and their fans want to give very little in return.
With what they really want to offer, the Flyers can't afford him.
Owen Tippett, Jett Luchanko, first first round 2026 and the Leafs first round 2027 pick. With a conditional 3rd round pick if Hughes signs long term.
I watch out for the Devils..But package B…..
Package C:
Tippett
Andrae
Bonk
2027 1st Round pick
2026 2nd Round pick
I guarantee this is how Danny gets our 1D… And I am sure the Hughes bros each prefer championship first then playing for aone another so their plans to play with one another can come in 5-7 years bc they are still all so young and it does not HAVE TO BE NOW bc one of teh bros is close to retirement!!! The leverage the Flyers has is how clearly QH does not want to play in Vancouver!!!
The 2026 cap space that seemed to go awry due to all the key FA's already resigning will be now used for re-upping Quinn Hughes and treat that extension like that big FA signing this upcoming summer!!! Btw, I would rather include both 1st rounders if we can keep Foerster…
Package B. Foerster is someone to build around. York is a bust, Barkey is meh. 1st rd pick, no worries. GO FLYERS !!
If you think you have “untouchables” in any capacity for a trade for a top 5 player in the NHL, you’re delusional.
Well done….just subscribed. You keep the vid flowing and the content is solid. As far as your two options…pull the trigger on either, or any mix of either. A trade for a guy like Hughes doesn't come along often, if ever.
It would have to be a 2026 first rounder unprotected for Vancouver. Or there telling you to go pound salt . And as far as it comes to being in the race, you and at least 25 other teams.
No way we give up Foerster. You can take Tippett and Risto and some trade picks
