Why is this not a goal? Please explain
Definitely goalie interference, but I think it’s silly. If a goalie leaves the cease I think they should be counted as any other player on the ice. It doesn’t make sense that they can make a play outside of their crease and interfere with any skaters trying to play the puck behind the net for free, as skaters have to completely avoid the tender.
Disaster avoided are you serious this entire franchise's history is a disaster
I’m not sure what else or where else guenther can go on this one. It’s a tough one in my opinion.
The goalie left the crease and is crying that he got scored on and the dumb ref waves off the goal ,total bs!!
Should have been a goal ,period!
I know it's the correct call, but it would be so much better if you could hit goalies outside of the crease
It was almost 5 – 1 instead of 4 – 1. Crisis averted.
He wasn’t in his blue circle how is it goalie interference
He would've made it back to the crease if he didn't get bumped. Definitely a good call
Probably should have been a Canuck on the half wall. But if they knew how to do basic break outs, they would be in a playoff spot
Wouldn't this be interference on any skater in the Keeper's situation anyways?
Vancouver fan says goal is good .
what happen to playing the puck in the trapazoid. the skater should beable to body check the goalie. especially if he’s behind the net. dumb call by the refs.
Good call! Great call actually
🎉
He should be fair game when he steps out of the crease. I don’t mean hit him hard but a little bump like it is here should be legal.
How is this a goalie interference?!? That's a stupid rule. He decided to get out of his net… You want to go play the puck? You go play with the other players too. If you're a goaltender, tend the goal!
I could be wronh but thought goalie interference was only applicable while the goalie is in the blue paint? And he really couldn't avoid the contact due to the canuck player
A quoi sert la tâche bleu ?
doesnt it have to be inside the crease for it to be goalie interference
In my opinion they need a rule change, if the goalie is out of the blue paint they are now considered a player and it is fair game for them to be hit. I think it would make it more exciting.
That a goal 💯
Who run into who? goalies are very good at embellishing, goalie was out of his net in my book that makes him fair game!
Im a mammoth fan and I didn't celebrate that hosp because it was coming back
Correct call by ref.
Per Rule 69.4, "If an attacking player initiates
any contact with a goalkeeper, other than incidental contact, while the goalkeeper is outside his goal crease, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed." Additionally Rule 69.1 states: "Goals should be disallowed only if: (1) an attacking player, either by his positioning or
by contact, impairs the goalkeeper’s ability to move freely within his crease or defend his goal; or (2) an attacking player initiates intentional or deliberate contact with a goalkeeper, inside or outside of his goal crease. Incidental contact with a goalkeeper will be permitted, and resulting goals allowed, when such contact is initiated outside of
the goal crease, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact."
Doesn't look like Guenther made an effort to not make contact with the goaltender, therefore the contact is not incidental and would result in a no-goal.
Goalie should be fair game if he comes out to play the puck.
