Detroit D cost us the game, not Talbot. Completley unable to carry the puck out of their own end, unable to clear without icing the puck, or just entirely unable to clear their zone. Not to mention allowing the other team to park in front of Talbots crease shows how inept the D was. To claim the loss is on him is idiotic.

Complaining about points being factors in awards…well its tough to imagine it being different. This league has 32 teams, spread across 4 timezones. So no nhl analyst is watching 32 times 82 games to catch all the fine details of one's game. Also, Seider's case for the Hart might be tough just because in terms of impact on team, same could be said about Dylan Larkin. Him not being in the lineup was often a huge hole to fill.
I'm kinda wanting to see Finnie and Kasper swap lines. I think it would be a huge boost to Kasper to get first line time with Raymond and Larkin, and Finnie and Danielson seem to have some real chemistry together.

The Red Wings are outscoring their problems and thats ok cuz more goals makes it more entertaining. Gibson had a somewhat solid performance so you hope it trends in the right direction for him. I think other than the chaos that is the East right I think Todd said it best in an interview that there's still plenty the team needs to improve on but they are much more resilient and alot less woe is me. Let's see how the Canada trip goes. Fingers crossed. LGRW
