@Sénateurs d'Ottawa

1. Goaltending is definitely not the only issue the Canadiens have right now.. But it's been a genuine concern for far too long this season.
Montembeualt has looked shaky since pre-season.
Dobes has looked shaky for over a month now.

I'm hoping these guys can figure it out.
That was a rough one, ladies and gents.

    Cheers, and thanks for watching.

  2. In my opinion, goaltending is just a symptom of the poor play in front of them. This team is not deep enough and needs what it has needed since pre-season; a legitimate 2C who can win faceoffs… likely a veteran to help this young team. The way they defend has to be tiring… chase, chase, chase… Hughes has to work on finding someone who can ensure Wilson and Tkachuk don't own the Habs. Hughes still has work to do.

  3. At least a couple of the Ottawa goals last night were the result of the D-Men not playing defense. Sure, Monty wasn't exactly sharp, it's tough to stop pucks when the guy is driving right in on you. Also, although they got 2 PP goals last night, they still need to jam the net more.

  4. Hutson and Struble both on for 3 goals against…and they were to blame. If that was Arber he would be on his way to Laval. Do you see the bias MSL has toward the Sheriff?

  5. Playing with no intensity when brady is bullying suzuki no one does anything and then pinto cheap shots hutson and again no one does anything!!! We should be bullying Stutzle n hitting Tkachuk so Arber xhekaj what the hell are u doing same with Flo Xhekaj I used to be Arbers biggest defender but now I cant defend him at all where is his mojo

  6. We need a tougher coach. This guy is killing AX and he will ruin the younger bro too. He has a hardon for fighters

  7. For me it starts with the coach. He’s handled the goalies terribly. He also has the entire team playing super soft because they’re afraid they’ll get benched if they take a penalty. Just look at AX. He’s an absolute ahell of himself because Marty won’t let him play his game. Now the entire team has no grit because there coach won’t let them. It’s absolutely pathetic and I’m jumping hard on the #FireMSL train.

  8. I will be honest, i love arber xhekaj but every time he touch the puck the play juste dies. Its the same problem with struble.. they both kill the plays.

  9. 12 fucking goals in 2 games. Sure, Monty stunk the place out again, but the defense has more open holes than a New Orleans whorehouse. If we can't outskate them, we sure as hell need to out hit them. Turn the Brothers Xhekaj loose. Sure, we'll take some penalties, but our opponents will be looking over their shoulders instead of the massive gaps in defense. MSL needs to shake things up and he needs to do it in a hurry before the stink of losing becomes our new cologne.

  10. injuries aside. need another goalie to replace monty. Marty is dense. Continues to play gallagher on the PP…what the hell is wrong with him? can't it be both? can't the officiating be terrible WHILE they play poor defense?

  11. I dont care how many points caufield has, unless he is shooting he is absolutely useless. Prove me wrong. you should make a video about how he does absolutely nothing for the team besides shooting the puck the days he feels like it. what a waste of a roster sport on line 1. Tiny guy. clueless out there. Marty needs to open his eyes. I think anyone put with suzuki will get points dont come at me with his point per game performance. Homie got all the power play minutes and top line minutes which he wastes alot. His play making only there when everything is going well we have all the momentum and he decides to play confidently that night, but even struble gets points and playmaking like that.

  12. Montembeault was bad last night but I couldn't say he was primarily at fault for any of the goals, most Sens were left right alone out front

  13. I was saying to a friend of mine last night : Marty should be tightening the nut…. If your line doesn't register a shot on goal on your shift, you skip the next rotation. Back to basics, put some fucking pucks on net…. period.

  14. Fire MSL, Trade Monty, put Arber with Hutson, Put slaf back on the 1st line and split up Matheson and Dobson and even out the ice time more. Sit Struble for Engstrom. Also take away some of Carriers minutes too.

  15. One big thing is their zone entry, the hard pass, tip and chase is horrible. Gotta let the younger guys carry into the zone and flash some mitts here n there.

  16. Problem is the Habs can’t cultivate the youth. The Dicks have, the Hawks have, Detroit is , Philly starting to gel. Yet the Habs floundering. Stop with the injuries Dach and Laine had no bearing on the Habs past season’s absolutely none So no loss on those 2. Newhook l was starting his best season and in defence it’s not Guhle being absent on ice IT IS CARRIER who is absent while on the ice. Injuries non factor. Talk about the system that’s more in the realm of reality

  17. The reffing did suck, and I actually feel like it has more often than not recently but it's just not the only problem. Goal tending. Defense. Playing with pace. Winning puck puck battles. Throwing a single body check. There's only a few players on the team that look like they want it right now and it shows. Slaf is saving that second line, Suzuki is over extending himself he's trying to do too much, Hutson is trying to do too much, and overall the team just looks impotent. Early this year there wasn't a game I believed they were out of. Where has that mojo gone? I see flashes lately after that abysmal stretch but it's not always there. Whatever is going wrong, they need to sort it out so that they look like a team again, not a few heroes out there that can't do it all themselves. When that mojo is back, then let's get after the refs for their abysmal work

  18. Injuries and bad coaching. MSL putting in Monty when dobes was hot was the beginning of the slide. Not playing demidov enough too. We need a more experienced coach

  19. I didn't know about the coach telling them quality over quantity, but I bet I can guess when it happened. I have been thinking for several weeks now that they are just passing way to much in the offensive zone, looking for the perfect shot. So many times they go in, set up, pass and pass… and never even get a shot on net! LIke you said, just throw it in there!

But that check on Jack-eye? I think he broke some of the laws of physics. The other guy had some significant mass x acceleration, and just bounced off him. Crazy!

  20. Tkachuk offering the puck to the Grinch ketchup guy @0:34 then nope, he tosses it away. Hilarious!
Kinda like after falling behind, were the Habs gonna ketchup? Nope.

  21. They are a closer to the bottom than the top
Expectations that are too high can be dangerous
