Everybody dogging Armstrong is so wrong! We have good players they just have no heart! They get payed to play a game and should feel privileged to have that opportunity! It’s on the players!
I keep thinking that the Blues might start getting back to the basics like skating and checking, giving maximum effort on every shift because they have pride. Be bullies out there. Grind teams down and win the wars of attrition. If we're going to lose then do it the right way. But no, every game is just us scraping by or giving a terrible effort. Stick a fork in them!
Idk if this the worst loss lol. They blew a four goal lead against Detroit haha
Love it how you expect the blues to do anything. most of the vetrens have NTC with term. Decimated by injuries and you think we can do anything. Unfortunately this team isn't good enough to compete right now, and may not be this season.
Trade the veterans that have any value, bring the kids up and let them learn on the job, growing pains aside. Lets go for a top pick this time.
Brayden Schenn & Justin Faulk for Arber Xhekah & 2026 2rd pick from The Habs. Bootheel Blues
Let the fire sale begin
I would trade whatever for brady
The Blues needs to bench the overpaid players that are underperforming and is dragging down the young players that are trying hard, they also need to find a goalie that can stop the puck.
I agree Darius I think its time to move out some contracts that dont want to be here get rid of some of the players this team bring in some picks prospects. No reason to wait any longer on this team even if they do turn a corner and start playing it will be the same lose in the 1st round.
Was at the game last night, and there were problems every where. continuity seemed like a big one!
Before i thought it was Montgomery trying to get people to leave mainly the highest paid to clear cap space, and then go on a spending spree now I m thinking its Armstrong sabotaging things so he can go on that spending spree. As you can tell I think its management not the team!
I feel like we have heard the same thing from this franchise for over a decade now. "We have to play harder but we learned a good lesson tonight." Then they just go out and do the exact same thing in the next game. We got lucky in 2019 that the pieces all fell into place and we went on a miracle run, that team had a horrible start too even though they were expected to go on a deep run before the season started. Maybe I just don't follow enough other teams but it seems like these professional players who get paid millions of dollars to play a game shouldn't be making the same excuses year after year. Should we fire the coach again? Get rid of the captain… again? Make another bonehead trade like Army did with Bolduc? Bring back Mike Yeo? Move to Saskatchewan? At what point will something that actually makes a difference happen?
When they went down 2-0 knew it was over. Team has no fight
Calm down. There is plenty of time to get in the playoffs. These injuries…
maybe just maybe Parayko will be recognized as a bad defensemen. he has been bad for years. goalies are not bailing him out now. fowler is not doing anything after the big finish last year.
if I was stuck with the team the way it is and injured players are in the lineup – my lines –
thomas – snuggy – neighbors suter- holloway – kyrou dvorsky – fabbri – buch sunny – schenn – walker
The Blues don't have a true top line. Just a bunch of average Joes playing below average.
We've come to the point that the coach needs to be a disciplinarian. Someone makes a bonehead play (or a lazy play), bench them for the rest of the game. Start making these guys earn their ice time.
Jordan Kyrou & Jordan Binnington for Shane Pinto of the Senators!! Bootheel Blues
Ill be honest. I try not to invest too much into pro sports especially these days.
It's entertainment for a reason. Whoever writes the narrative controls the outcome.
I wouldn't be surprised if they're tanking on purpose.
Team Identity: Tail tuckers
Get, mad if you like, but the Blues were lucky to win that cup,in 2019, Binnington ,was the reason, along with another Bruins choke!Check, the stats, the best teams that year, choked, Blues played well, but not what I consider, a quality cup performer!I would change my opinion ,if they made it to the cup final the next year, or the next year!Berube, instilled in them the grit, that was only gonna last for a short time! They shot their wad, and got a cup, but not really that great of a team!
Why does something have to be done? Just tank! Makenna!
I think a BIG thing is that we are easy to play against. The Blue are NOT physical. Nathan Walker is really the only guy that consistently hits followed by Holloway sometimes. They are playing TOO fancy in the offensive zone. Not to beat a dead horse, but Bolduc was really a catalyst for that feisty, blue collar hockey. Some of it is coaching, I'm a believer still in Jim Montgomery still but maybe it's time to switch up the Assistant Coaches, never really understood why Steve Ott was pushed to that spot so quickly. We can do without Buchnevich and Faulk FOR SURE. Might as well get younger. I think if we simplify our game and EVERYBODY buys in and plays physical, that would make a huge difference. Right now, we are easy to play against and we def should be sellers unless something changes fast. The Panthers won Back to Back cups playing PHYSICAL hockey. I think the players actual skate hard, they just don't hit anything.
Are we officially toast yet?
I know we've been saying this for weeks, but I think we are at a turning point. If the Blues do not win tonight it is officially over
How do we trade Doug Armstrong? He's the problem. Get Steener in there.
I find it interesting that all of our new players are doing great and our vets are complete garbage.
It’s tough to watch this team but I’m still a BLUES fan. The future looks bright. Time for some trades. Let’s finish the season a little stronger and hopefully the franchise will get better for next season. Every team goes through these tough times. It’s not the end of the world. Unfortunately army is going down in flames. But now it’s time to handover the reins. Take a real good look at long term contracts.let’s not forget army has pulled some strings during his tenure.unfortunately some have not done very well.GO BLUES!
The issue is, these guys don’t hate to lose. That simple. You can see it all over the place when they’re “playing”.
Binner needs to go too. Hofer should be the #1.
I never thought I say it’s hard to watch a Blues team but this team is horrible!
Sorry, but expecting Army to do literally anything useful is a waste of time. He's been an awful GM for years who stumbled into a Cup when every star aligned.
After watching Fabbri last night, I too thought he was one of our best forwards…….he had passion, grit, and was noticeable on the ice. The Blues played soft and are lacking desire. I get it, they are without some of their better players……but last night was a travesty. Great recap BTW Darius!
We just don’t have high level depth. With no Superstars you need proficient depth it’s not there especially with all the injuries. It’s easy to see but you can’t freak out because of this situation. It’s going to be two years before they are competitive!
Problem is, you never sell at the bottom!
It’s honestly not that big of a deal.
Blues always play better against top teams and like shit against the bottom teams. It’s a tale as old as time.
Binnington can't get traded to Edmonton now. I don't know that anyone wants him. It's not like he's unsalvageable (maybe). But geez.
And I want to ask our captain, "Okay, cap, what is preventing you from playing your hardest? What are the blockers? Is there something in the room? Is there one player who's bringing a lot of negativity?"
Nobody is going to want these players. A fire sale means getting value. There's no value to be had right now.
Honestly, what has happened to this team???
Is Monty's job in danger?
Time to move on from Binnington!
I think they don’t want to play for Monty! He’s a good coach
Losing along boards repeatedly and bad passes = 7 • 2
The amount of effort required for this roster to win is 100%. There is no room for slacking. They need to view each game as a fight for survival. They need cleaner passing, puck handling, and decision-making.
Dude they are trying with new players. I have already put this season into history but keeping up with the negative is not helping.
All aboard th fail boat. The tank is on!
It’s bewildering what has happened to the Blues and the Jets.
Thomas is as bad as anyone
It is 100% on the players.. Montie is not going anywhere nor should he be to blame.. Armstrong is a gambler and has hit the Jackpot in some cases but crapped out in some cases but also dont think he is to blame .. To me its the players giving a soft effort and failing to execute. There will be moves made and hopefully its something that makes this team uncomfortable.
There is a cancer somewhere in that dressing room. They better find it before the torpedo sinks them
I suspect Parayko is playing hurt? He took a shot off the foot a while back and hasn’t skated the same imo.
Parayko has been a problem for awhile. I dont get why no one notices that he is a turnover machine. Next game, count how many times he touches the puck in the defensive zone and how many times the next touch is by the opposing team.
