How wrong can Steve’s words be at the @ 1:55 mark be. I think the Edmonton / Pittsburgh trade is more important Edmonton just traded for their most urgent need.
The Wild have no Centers or scoring depth. They were fine defensively. It’s a desperate move by Guerin to save his job. That’s all it is. The Wild still won’t make it out of the first round. Stupid trade.
New Jersey needs to pick up the phone. Vancouver wants to rebuild so trade Mercer for Garland Nemic for Tyler Meyer and Sherwood.
Lululemon with NHL logos in this economy is a wild sell
The elephant in the room is the slow death of Canada and the pathetic anti-American stance spewed out by the government, media and large swath of the population. Expect more of this if heads aren’t removed from asses soon.
Rossi is their 1C over Petterson? Who are you guys? Frank Seravalli?
Look at what Colorado started with the rantanen trade, all these gm's are growing some balls
Boeser is good as gone
The return that baffles me is Rossi.
I like that the Canucks traded Hughes now, given that he's not staying and there is no way for contention until he leaves.
But Rossi would have been a good piece IF (edit:) Hughes had stayed. Sure, he's a couple of years younger than Hughes, but isn't this just another "let's get a couple of years younger and we'll be ok" moves? Pretty sure that that ship has finally sailed.
Crazy how little the nux got back in this deal
Get Shannon on the pod again!!!!!
I'm a Canucks fan , and i would say Quinn is my favourite player. That being said, I'm glad this happened. At least the franchise didn't hold onto him to try to stay competitive for the next two years and sell tickets and jerseys.
I'm musing with the idea that Rutherford has been more team rebuild than he has sometimes let on , almost seems like he kind of intentionally sabotaged some stuff ( publicly stating Quinn wants to play with his brothers and maybe opeinig up more of media hornets nest in doing so)to prove to ownership that the team needs a bit of an overhaul. Quinn was probably gone, didn't sound like he was wanting stay from comments about the situation after the trade. They got some very nice pieces in this trade . Quinn is at the level where I'm not sure you can equal value back without developing futures and young players , these generally aren't trades that can be won one day one by the team trading the better player .
if minny is out in the first round, that pick is somewhere between 16-24. consolidated rankings has players like caleb malhotra and malte gustafsson in that range. That first rounder could be another very good piece.
John 14:6
King James Version
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Do they resign him?
Ohgren is not goodhe has played 46 NHL games and shown literally nothing.
Looking at the comments I guess I'm going to have to watch THG's reaction to this trade lol
Bottom line, nucks got fleeced.
Definitely gonna be an interesting west playoff this year
The repercussions of trading Horvat over Miller still paying its dividends
Billy G is shooter. Wheeling and dealing
Vancouver fans are going through it.
But considering the cursed nature of Minnesota sports team, a likely scenario is Hughes having 1.5 injury riddled seasons with the Wild losing in the first or second round of the playoffs, then walking to Jersey for free.
The cross over we needed 😂
Tbh let’s be honest Canucks are gonna be stupid and try and trade the picks and prospects for some garbage player
As dumb as the Canucks are. Still not as cripplingly stupid as dumb ass rocks Treliving/Leafs. 3rd best defenseman in the league nets a great return. Team Canada's waterboy = Nicolas Roy because dumbass Tree wanted to lose to Florida in 7 games instead of 6. 😂😂😂
I agree that now was the time to start trading vets and Quinn Hughes, but the real issue in VAN was that Hughes was THE player to build around… aaaaaannd they didn’t. They should be exiting their rebuild this season instead of using Hughes to jumpstart a rebuild. But hey, if they get McKenna, management had better attempt a proper rebuild.
Sorry VAN fans, we feel your suffering.
Now how does this affect the Leafs
The thing is next year if things don’t go well for Minnesota. They could just flip him and get a lot of what they lost back
