    Really sinking in that the window is closed. There was so much hope for this group in the start, truly disappointing. Try to sell off assets at the deadline and start getting pieces for the future.

    The argument for the Mathews and McDavid comparison was always about the fact both guys were dangerous when they were on the ice. McDavid's play making and Mathews scoring from just about anywhere. It is exactly the same argument for the Crosby, Ovechkin comparison. Clearly Mathews still has nothing on his shot.

    I wonder sometimes if Matthews has a drug problem . He hangs with Bieber Not good man. Matthews is 27 or 28. That's young. He's in his prime but he looks like he's end of career. 37 year old. Drugs will do that to you. Watch media scrums. Touching yr face a lot . If it happens all the time. I don't watch every media scrum. Whenever I do I have notice the behavior. Not just Mathews though

    Win a game or 2 and everything is great, lose a stinker, the sky is falling and trade everyone. The " trade the core 4 " ship sailed when they gave no trade deals. We needed to move on from Willy when he was holding out for money. Willy has always been about Willy, team second. He has world class talent, with minor league effort and heart.

    Toronto fans have worked very hard in deluding themselves for decades. Matthews isn't remotely close to McDavid and he never has been. You chased the dude who gave Matthews his goals out of town, you needed both of them to match McDavid by himself. The copium in Toronto is so high it should be legislated as a restricted drug.

    Troy coughed up puck twice for a goal against Leafs (one of which Troy knocked into own zone). Robertson should be scratched but not the boys like Cowan in previous games or Roy for the 1st goal? WHY THE EFFIN DOUBLE STANDARD?

    WILLY PLAYED 13:46 bc he was sick! OEL definitely was hopped on Corticosteroids and pain killers. From car accidents to other injuries, the most pain starts about 48 hrs later (aka during game time tonight).

    WTF are they sitting Maccelli 8 of 9 when until tonight, Cowan was tied in pts despite playing cushy mins and way more mins with the top line (JT & Willy). Send Cowan to AHL & bring up J-Quillan and others who are used to playing with faster, bigger players and succeeding. Or even Groulx or Boyd. As for forwards AND defence, why TF have they never brought up their prospects in past or now (except forwards Cowan, Knies & yo-yoing Nicky Robby). Villeneuve, Benning, and in past Niemela & Kral exist/existed. 4th rounder Hildeby didn't get a chance so they Claimed EFFIN PRIMEAU & BLAIS

    I watch every NHL game for every team this season that isn't location restricted (stupid effin NHL & Rogers), the Leafs defence aren't close in any manner (their prospects and players are way better defencemen than we've ever had) and Leafs forwards are slow comparatively. SHAEFER IS THE BEST DEFENCEMEN I'VE EVER SEEN
