As a Wild fan…. Im perfectly fine w this trade. I also don't think Bill Guerin sends the haul over that he did without some kind of guarantee or at least something that makes him confident in re-signing Hughes. If not, we'll just Have to trade him before deadline next season for pieces…
I'm kind of new to hockey (started watching 2023). Do they assign a new captain next game? And does it have to be a current assistant captain? If so, who do you think it'll be?
Watch the Canucks sign him in 2 years…
Biggest robbery in history
🤣🤣🤣
The wild are going to be crazy.
Brutal that it came to this, but as someone who already quite likes the Wild… I couldn't be cheering for them more!
They finally used the word rebuild
EP40 next. Mides well send this team to the grave yard
Writing has been on the wall for a while so not surprised Hughes is gone…surprised to Minnesota for sure. What hurts the most is knowing that it never had to come to this point but 14 years of mismanagement since 2011.
Best of luck to Quinn in Minny and the rest of his career, hope he tears up the league for years to come. Will be a lifelong fan regardless of what jersey he wears.
Some really stupid comments here
Aquilini won't let the rebuild be genuine. Watch them cut corners as usual.
Don't like the move, but should be happy that Aquaman FINALLY is coming to terms of a rebuild
Ok now garland and Sherwood for Michkov and I’ll be happy
Oilers ended your franchise, good riddance
Id say im happy just really gonna miss hugs
Good trades for young talent. Rossi will do 70-80 points in the future.
Bro is coping hardcore lol. Team just traded a generational talent for 4 maybes lol
OF COURSE the return just has to be shit I can’t do this bro
At first, I was disappointed, and shocked by the return, but now after looking into Buium and the package. I'm actually a fan of the trade. It might turn out very good for the team in hindsight
Buium, Rossi, Öhgren, and a 1st round pick is a pretty amazing return. Going to be a while for this fanbase to realizes that. Quinn Hughes is Quinn Hughes, but I really really like the players we got back.
Ich freue mich auf MARCO ROSSI #23🎉
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttt.???????????? Omg whaaaaat in my Min wooow
My birthday gift 😂
I was not really liking it when it first came out, but now that I have had a while to think, this was not bad. I hope Quinn does well but not so well that he cooks us and does better than he did here. I want to see him win a cup, just wish it was here
He quit on his team
Rossi, Cootes, EP40, Raty down the middle doesn't look bad at all, and if Chytil comes back protected in a bottom six role, the center spot looks really good. We still have Sasson, too! If EP40 doesn't turn out, he will forever be our 3rd line center. It would hurt the Canucks more to tade away Petterson or buy out his contract. Just look at our D core now not in any partcular pairing or order…Buium/Hronek, Petterson/Willander, Mynio/Mancini. STACKED for the next decade!!! Would have liked to still have Silovs, but when Medvedev breaks through, whoa! Lekkerimaki and Ohgren will be interesting to see in the up coming years and don't forget we have another talented Swede in Alriksson.
I felt prepared for Quinn to leave and I even said I wouldn’t mind if he left, but wow. This hurts bad
Losing buium was hard for me, but at least we got Quinn Hughes.
Shouldn't have accepted the C if he wanted out so bad. Also, he and #40 not putting up numbers this year. Piss off if you don't want to be here. You want to win, play better
Oh no Huggy! We should at least have gotten Makar and MacKinnon too!
He wouldn’t of re-signed with the Canucks anyways. Vancouver is the NHL of the league.
Canucks have just brought in no size or grit just more of the same small skating midgets ,I think we now have a complete team of non hitting little yes boys that are built for a good run with the Abby canucks but have no future with the men in the NHL
I appreciate your optimism Deaner
I fuckin hate that trading him was the right thing to do
this damn franchise man 😭😭
Isn't Rossi hurt ? 😂
Happy for Hughes; Canucks failed to build a contender around him. This downward spiral all began with the Pedersen contract. Hopefully we will see some success in the long term . Embrace the tank at this point
An awful choice for the Captaincy.
Knew it was coming but this was the nail in the coffin for me. 40 years old and I just don't have it in me to sit through another decade of rebuilding this team. Half a lifetime of crushing disappointments is enough, time to let go. Life is less stressful (and expensive) when you stop caring about sports anyway lol silver lining I guess.
But fml what a WASTE. Knew this management team couldn't be trusted after the disastrous mishandling of Boudreau. Maybe I'll bandwagon if they ever claw their way back into the playoffs but not gonna hold my breath. A thousand sighs.
Should have gotten more. Like Hockey Guy said, If it was Cale Makar for the Minny players would it still be "a haul"?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fleeced!
The Canucks will never know winning 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆!
Well at leat we know that the rebuild is underway. Benning should have been fired way earlier to prevent this.
Damn
it is not very difficult to understand why he is not happy, Vancouver can make a person depressed easily.
