  1. I think the wild are gonna regret this come playoff time. They would have been better off pursuing sam Girard

  2. Saying that Minnesota will be a cup contender even with Hughes is what's really "Wild". They are not a playoff type of team.

  3. Short term destination of Minny who leaves for NJ as FA or NJ trades Quinn in last year of his deal because he is not resigning in Minny

  4. the wild trade is only good if they get a 1C. Their center depth is not good enough and i still dont believe he resigns with the wild.

  5. As a wild fan I like the trade but also feel anxious or nervous for future, I mean you really can’t complain when Quinn all of the sudden is in your lineup. I liked Rossi and zeev, nothing bad to say about ohgie. I just have a major concern if Quinn don’t resign. Hopefully it’s well worth it. Billy g has balls that’s all I can say.

  6. Canucks deserve a better grade. The package they got was actually pretty good considering they had absolutely 0 leverage since Hughes was not happy and was obviously going to be leaving in FA no questions asked.

  7. Hughes will not be what the Wild thought he would/should/could be…Canucks were not that good with Hughes, and the Wild are currently not a good team…the Wild are the Sutor/Parise era again, no playoff success…Hughes should of went somewhere else, he will fade away playing for the Wild…know your hockey…

  8. This will be great for the wild, unless he leaves after his contract expires in favor of playing with his brothers

  9. Disgusting. No loyalty at all to Vancouver fans and organization. Lot of time to do the family stuff later in the career if that is so important. Hope the fans give him a hard time. FU Hughes

  10. So they can't give him an extension until July 2026. If he doesn't sign one. He bolts to Jersey to play with his brothers. In the long run, the trade could be better for Vancouver. Also, the Wild have to beat Colorado. Good luck with that.

  11. The real reason Hughes and Miller left are because all the sheep from Canaduh kept booing and booing during the U.S national Anthem! I would tell them to go blow to! Go back and watch their faces …51st state all the way!

  12. Canucks were last In the leage with Quin Hughes so doesn’t make a difference for them. If anything it only makes the wild better

  13. I thought the Wild gave way too much for Hughes, but that was before I found out how good he really is. This opens up the possibility for some of the Wilds younger players to get more playing time. Some of their really young players hadn’t gotten the opportunity to show what they can do with more playing time. They were loaded at some positions, but they could use a center to put him on a line with Krill. Hughes will get the opportunity to assist Krill on several goals on the power play or 5 on 5. If Hughes was with Faber on defense that would give the Wild 2 really good offensive defenseman at the same time . Either one can lead a breakout on a scoring opportunity.

  14. Bettman loves his D sucking Atlantic Division and the Florida Panthers so the central won’t win the cup again.. The toughest division will battle it out and only 1 team from that division will make it to the 3rd round..

  15. I don't think you can grade the trade now. If Minnesota wins a Cup then it's an A for them no matter what but if the players Vancouver gets all pan out to be solid NHLers it's hard to give them less than an A.

  16. What’s odd is the devils would have made a similar trade. Which tells me Vancouver tried to fleece the devils and traded him to Minnesota out of spite.

  17. Not saying Buium will become Hughes, but look at that kid's NCAA record. Yes, he broke Hughes's record in the NCAA!

  18. All things considered, VAN had their back against the wall and accepted the best offer they could get for a player who wasn´t going to re-sign. The return was never going to be great anyway

  19. Buium on the open market fetches 2 first rounders in a heartbeat. I count five recent or future first round selections worth of value. That's not too shabby by Vancouver. And the Wild still have to get past the Avs and/or the Stars (likely both) to get to the conference Finals. I like it from a Vancouver POV.

  20. The Wild are taking a big risk to get Quinn Hughes from Vancouver,I get that. But maybe if the Wild have success in the Stanley Cup playoffs, Quinn would sign a long term contract. Because the Wild and the city of St. Paul are looking for assistance from the state of Minnesota, for a major remodeling project for the Grand Casino Arena.
