Lost a lot of their speed letting Ehlers and Kupari go, lost a lot of secondary scoring with Ehlers too. Poor second line, need another top dman. Injury to Helle is tough when you don't have a reliable backup. Not enough NHL ready prospects in the pipeline
The Jets are not very good. All,season the teams offensive struggles have been a major factor.
The central is already stacked with Avs,Stars and Wild slugging it out.
In response to the question that forms the title of the SportsCentre segment, I see, as wrong with the Winnipeg Jets:
– limited, inconsistent depth scoring
– poor-quality backup goaltending
– poor defensive awareness
The Jets have been terrible since the pre-season. They had success early in the season, but they still weren't playing very well and the coach complained…even with the wins.
I said in the pre-season that the Jets might not make the playoffs. I am 100% convinced of that now. The Jets followed their best season ever with their worst season ever.
Time for Jets to aim for the draft
Chevy let go Ehlers for nothing. Replaced with patch up players that are mediocre players. Good luck Chevy.
picked up guys who only had majority empty net goals last season and are old farts who are messing up the younger guys voices in the room chevy gots to go always banking on old farts passed the prime
