Also, re Nylander, you are correct. Maybe whoever they hire as the next coach should be warned not to ever yell at or criticize Willy in any way shape or fashion or he’ll stop playing for you. Or maybe they just trade Willy and get something good back for him.
The leafs needs to blow the whole team up and to a rebuild. There are no true leaders on the team. And trading Mitch was good in the sense that it showed they are willing to do moves but that was the only real move. Which means that the team was inevitably was going to be worse this year compared to last year. They need to commit to a rebuild or make a major trade for an actual leader.

as a Sens fan, i thoroughly and authentically hate the Leafs. Cuz its sports and why not. So mostly i come here to see Mr Dangle angst when the leafs lose. But there is no getting around it…he brings something i have never seen in my long life. He has the feel for how to do the angsting like no other…ever. The GOAT.
Willy just needs to be healthy scratched and then paraded out in front of the media to explain why he is healthy scratched. If he can’t come up with the right answer, he gets healthied again.
You keep doing it until he either asks for a trade, or gives the right answer, then you put him back in the line up on the fourth line to make sure he actually knows the answer.
Everyone harps on Mitch’s dad, but Michael Nylander is a horrible influence on his kids as well.

Dude I love the Leafs as much as anyone and I have not watched one game this year because so know it’s only gonna make me feel like shit. And in my late 40’s I say this loser or a franchise does not deserve my fandom any longer!
