Yeah, despite everyone wanting Drury fired. It's just not going to happen, at least until everything just collapses beyond repair. Trust me, I want him gone too. Dolan loves Drury so the chances are basically non-existing.
Here's a question for you all: What would you want for Quick if a contender (like Edmonton) called asking for a trade? I'd want a top 6 forward or center, a 2nd round draft pick, and a top prospect

Why can't anyone but me see that going with prospects and picks isn't working. Where's Miller, , kakko, chytyl, kravtsov. And even LaFranere gotten us? Perreault, othmann, Berard are all not too far behind. This team needs to aquire top line veteran players if they want to improve. Not kids that amount to nothing. Fans wanted to trade kreider, OK what did we get, anyone you will even ever see in the nhl ? By the way how's our power play now that he's gone ? You think there bad now wait till we trade panarin. Watch them get 3 prospects that rot in the minor leagues. Unfortunately Drury may have waited to long already as not much is available. Rangers must stop acquiring wasted youth and start trading them for proven talent !
Drury needs to be fired.
Of course Drury should be fired, but won't be. He is hands down THE worst GM in the league. He sacrificed the future by pretending that some deadline trades he made would win a cup. Some fans scoffed that Messier would be a poor choice because he had no experience. What experience did Drury have? At least, Messier interned with Sather to learn what goes into the job. That tells me he wanted that job, but with Dolan he'll never get it.
