MLSE might not be good at managing a hockey team but they understand numbers and when you start to see ticket sales plummeting and tv ratings falling off a cliff they will be forced to act. One thing being overlooked is the impact this will have on a generational level if you lose your current fanbase what's going to happen to the kids who watch their parents throw in the towel?
I am starting to feel numb by the Leafs losses. This team is not functioning. They are off the rails. Is it the players? Is it the coach? I think the team just doesn't have the horses.
Brad should just come out with a statement that berube is our coach until the end of the season. This will stop the speculation that he will be gone in January. The leafs should just tank it, you need 90+ points for a playoff spot. The guys who won't waive there no trade clause should be put in waivers like what the rangers did with trouba.

Matthews is lazy. He is no captain. He inspires nobody. He cant drive a line. Has zero heart. Has zero will to win and doesn't hate to lose. Also is not a playoff performer. All that for 13 million a year. What a joke. All this talk about Berube has lost the room. Isn’t this the coach that won the division last year? The majority of the players are still there. Why would they tank on the only coach who has won the division in decades? Losing Marner has obviously been a huge affect on Matthews ability to score, but has losing Kampf, Holmberg, and Pacioretty seems have had an effect as well. We really need Stolarz, Tanev and Carlo back. I don’t know, I guess we’re all just trying to figure out what has changed from last years winning team to this.
