Canucks went 4-1 on the road trip, you can't win them all. Hopefully Pettersson is back cause I don't want to see Kampf as the 2nd line center. Maybe even call up Lekkerimaki and put him on a line with Rossi. Boeser and Garland both have been frustrating to watch lately.
EP40 will come back and absolutely sabotage the team's chance at number 1.
Those wins were nice, but don't you worry. We're still a crappola team. Stick to the plan. Move Sherwood , Kane, etc for picks. Let the younglings play, Go crazy at the draft.
Nucks got completely clapped today. Hopefully it takes management back down to reality, assuming they were seriously considering making a push after going 4-0-0. I understand the sentiment about wanting the team to build a winning culture but when that goes wrong is when management suddenly decides they don't want to sell anymore because they're winning.
Gotta say, in my 50 years as a Canucks fan, I have never heard of people around me (in this case online ) calling for them to tank.
I find it bizarre.
People expect professional athletes and coaching staff to deliberately tank the season to get a single high draft pick !?!
If you take all the top ten draft picks out of the last 50 years, and look at how many of them actually became top players, (let alone stars) you’re going to be left with a short list of 30 guys.
And people expect our players to tank? As in , throw games ?
They will do their best and take a shot at making the playoffs.
And I would much rather have a hard working 500 team with some exciting players , than years of rebuild.
Lastly….. it’s toughness they need. NOT more younger skilled finesse players.
Even if they hit rock bottom they will likely never get a top 3 pick… this team has NEVER moved up in draft position so I wouldnt expect luck to change
