What are your thoughts on what Patrik Allvin had to say? Are you all in for a complete rebuild? And do you think the Canucks fanbase is patient enough for a rebuild?
Boeser has 1 goal in 18 games. Debrusk scored 1 even strength goal ALL YEAR. Petey is injured like last year. Where does this team expect to go when their three highest paid offensive players are nowhere to be found?
The last 2 years with seemingly good rosters have been the same boredom level as a rebuild roster (outside of hughes). The hard work instilled with Foote is better than previous years, but the lack of game sense and ability to read the enemy as a team is what's missing
It's time to get younger and get most of the roster to peak at the same time (3-5years from now)
I'm amazed at the amount of anger snd negatively in this market. If I hated a team that much I'd go and support another team. Having said that, these guys ought to go look at a team like the Rangers. Big scorched earth tank job. 1st overall pick, 2nd, 7th and 9th. Look at them now, a middling team like they started with. Merry Christmas

I suppose I'm way too 'positive' for some people, but I look at it like this. I was opposed to re-signing Boeser and Demko last summer. I like them both, but I thought we could get a faster winger and got with Silovs and Lankinen. Having said that, this trade to me is like they drafted Rossi, Ohgren and Buium the last 3 drafts. There. We tanked and got what we would have gotten but they're already partly developed. Add two of three more 1st round picks this summer and it's 3/4 done.
Is tfat a hybrid rebuild? I don't know.

When you can check off the boxes you move forward. Hughes brought in 4 1st rounders. He should just say rebuild because most fans wouldn't know the difference!
Now that Hughes is gone. I’m fine with a 2-3 year rebuild.
Owners of Toronto and Vancouver NHL markets will never rebuild. They rely on corporate bulk sales and corporate box leases and corporate would not pay during a rebuild but will pay for mediocrity. This is the reality in these markets unlike the American markets you quoted. Non-corporate sales are peanuts and ownership could care less if those ticket sales drop.
