So, out of the blue, 4 out of 5 guys who have been on the powerplay for 10 years or so, suddenly forget every trick that makes a powerplay work…lol!!! Jesus phucking Christ. Lame, lame, lame…

  2. The problem is none of them are the rallying type. They are all the same demeanor, weak minded no leaders no grit no jam nothing.

  3. Pointing fingers at people in suits when the guys wearing skates are dogging it and playing like they don't like their jobsis ridiculous. If changing the coach makes this a better team with these players then this team is LOST and the inmates are running the asylum. This is 100 percent on the players and particularly the so called stars.

  4. the way I see it this is the problem with Toronto's power play ,,,They have two shot threats Nyander and Matthews….. Nylander is used as a facilitator now to get the puck to matthews which answers two questions..Matthew can't shoot the puck like he used to so he's not giving him the puck,, number two that takes away Nylnders shot because he's setting things up… which explains why they're not getting any shots… and Knies can't do what he usually does in front of the net because of his injury.

  5. Guys, it’s plain and simple, when you see a William Nylander get to point he has and makes the comment he has made, you screwed up. Bérubé has lost the room. Nylander never gets phased by anything and he is at a loss for words and just looks dejected.

You might as well keep Savard on until once Christmas passes…one more game (Pittsburgh) would’ve changed nothing in terms of PP system. Does show how spineless MLSE is as an organization to do a meaningless firing right before Christmas that literally changes nothing and is the only firing? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Losing Mitch was huge. It shows that Mitch was holding things together. Removing him is ripping off a bandaid to problems you hid for several years. This problem was always there, it just wasn’t as visible because Mitch held things together on the PK, PP, 1st Line with Auston Matthews etc

  6. Does anyone know if the G.M. gone into the dressing room yet and freaked. If not why tell them all i will move as many of i can. Iam not firing coach its u guys i will do what i can to trade u write your name on board if u want out of here.

  7. The facts show Matthews is the biggest problem, disconnect from coach and fellow players, not being held accountable for his disappointing play, lack of goals, lack of speed, lack of emotion, lack of physicality just a complete let down which is bringing the entire team down. Even his clothes show such little respect for the team. He can take his fashionista to NYC, 13.25m for what

  8. Yeah what did Savard have to earn the position he got here but the same can be said about Treliving! The fortunate moment for him was that of all the "potential" GM's out there at the time, he on paper had the most experience. That experience though wasn't higher than a D- grade. I was still living in Calgary when he was hired there, and yeah, the Flames was a powder keg then as Toronto's become! And how did he handle that? Pretty sub par if you ask me! And whatever was left of that Flames team which he was elbows deep in creating, he keeps trying to bring here! It's unfortunate to be a Leafs fan cause the biggest problem with the organization is something that CAN NEVER be addressed. And that's who owns the team! They're as big of the problem in Toronto as Jerry Jones is for the Dallas Cowboys!

  9. None of there guys should be going to stupid Olympics. They need to rest up to try to make playoffs not going there to play.

  10. If Marc Savards powerplay was at 25% output the Leafs would be in a playoff position. Dont kid yourselves. This change could shake up the players enough to at least get the man advantage going. I think its a smart first move.

  11. Such a gong show team at this point. Even if they end up firing Chief soon, are they going to get a new coach bump, only to cool off again after the Olympics? Because the team isn’t good. Management is handcuffed. They have no way to go with this. Can’t trade players, can’t fire coaches (unless you predict an absolute miracle). At this point, you fire the coach, and we all know the Leafs will play just well enough to miss the playoffs and graciously give Boston a great pick.

  12. The razzle dazzle fun to watch Leafs were gold during the regular season but year after year the razzle dazzle failed in the playoffs. The answer-hire a coach totally unfamiliar with skill and talent as he had neither and create a roster of pluggers that would supposedly do better in the playoffs but–oops- forgot one needs to make the playoffs. The simple fact is the Leafs stink and Willy and Auston are not going to break their backs to carry a bunch of fringe NHLers. Willy likely views Berube telling him how to play hockey as a joke. Willy's view –and he is not wrong–is why should a player of my skill play like Steven Lorentz or Calle Jarnkrok. Dump and chase is really dump and head back to cover the counterattack. No speed, could not hit water if they were standing in it, Reilly missing an open net from 4 feet out getting old. Watch other teams play each other and you will see Leafs are shit.

  13. so sick of looking at Matthews and Nylander…they are the cancer that needs to go….sick of all the other talk and bs…just get rid of them.

  14. Brad is the real issue! Gave away alot for the carlo trade and laughton trade. As a leaf fan I do have to say we are a very soft team

  15. If the core of this team remains the same , you will get the same results as we have seen year after year for the last 10 years. I mean how long do you need . It's ridiculous.

  16. We know what Auston can do. We’ve seen it. He says he’s 100% healthy. That being the case, why is he playing so damn poorly? A true superstar will be dominant regardless of who he is playing with. A true superstar will drag the entire team into the fight and lead by example. I like Auston, but it certainly looks like he no longer wants to be here.

The fans are smart enough to understand that the Leafs won't win every shift, every period, or every game. We get it. All we want to see is an honest effort to keep the team moving forward. This team lays so many eggs due to poor efforts and careless play.

  17. Rielly needs to go… McCabe and Tanev is top unit and OEL PP1… he’s not required anymore… trade him to Vancouver for Sherwood

  18. This guest touting Matthews as the best leaf of all time is absolutely fucking insane. Putting that hangdog, laissez faire goof over Gilmour, Clark, Baun winning a Cup on a broken ankle, Sittler, Conacher, Horton, goddamn almost anybody from yesteryear is sheer nonsense. AM wouldn't bleed for this team if you slit his throat at center ice; he's softer than silk and folds like a shirt at the first hint of adversity. If that guy is the best leaf of all time, this franchise is destined to be a tier 19 high school circuit club.

  19. They drafted a pileapuss!!! Sorry, but it is what it is. I jumped off this shit show when they blew it against Montreal. 46 year old life long fan, that was it for me. Classic Toronto luck, they finally tear it down to try to build a team “the right way” and they end up drafting the biggest skill with the least amount of heart set of players in probably the history of professional sports!!! Good on Rosey to call it what it is!! 13:50 preach!!!!!

  20. Matthewe has a degenerative back issue. He needs to take like a year off and heal or see if surgery in an option

  21. Matthews the best Leaf of all time …. blasphemy! No Leaf fan would ever take him over Sittler, Clark, Salming, MacDonald etc. and many greats before them. Auston is very talented yes, but not by any stretch the best player. Not even close. If they won't talk about injuries then that is no excuse. Get a life.

  22. This is what I have to say. Treliving should be FIRED asap. He learned nothing from his experience in Calgary. Treliving let their star player walk for free. He comes to Toronto and does the same thing again with Marner. A Good GM would have told Marner's agent that he either signs at the beginning of the year or he needs to give a list of teams he is willing to be traded to. This talk that he had a no trade is BS. A good GM would have put the hockey team first by telling Marner that he will not be playing very many minutes if he does not agree to wave the no trade. With it being his contract year he would have waived it so he could play a lot of minutes to increase his value for the next contract. Another reason why Treliving needs to be FIRED is because the guy does nothing for the team all season. He just sits there watching the team suffer instead of getting Berube some players who play his style. Treliving has made this team worse. He likes to wait until the trade deadline before he actually does something. Only a fool would wait until the trade deadline to help their team. Treliving likes to wait until he has to pay a higher price before he does anything. He needs to Go ASAP.

  23. Sure the PP was terrible last year, oh wait no it wasn’t, just this year absolute garbage but it was all the same guys, what changed? Oh that’s right Mitch Marner
    See ya Rosey
