Demi is on pace to tie Hutson 66 points from last year
I never thought that I would say this but the Senators' fans make the Leafs fans look like intellectual giants.
I respect the opinion that Lane has been the best player on the roster over the last 20 games, but in the last 10? It's been Slav.
Tired of watching The Habs take so many penalties . They need to shoot more , especially Suzuki .Overall decent game .
Why do I suspect the sticks are manufactured in Ottawa, Boston or Toronto…??
Wouldn't it be nice to talk about a McDavid or MacKinnon type player rather than a goaltender doing the butterfly for the next ten years?
This is spornographic.
Merry Christmas all
Great show guys, thank you.
Someday when you're finished talking about goaltenders and D how about talking about some of the lesser known Habs forward prospects in the system?
Great game all around, nice Christmas gift. Fowler was a beast, so when can we start talking about him as our present rather than our future? With that said, I do hope Monty finds his game and we can send Fowler back to the minors to hone his skills and bide his time. This is pure selfishness in that we will need to trade one of Monty or Dobes and we need them showing real value to maximize their value in a trade.
Though I loved the game its important we don't ignore the holes. Still had a few too many soft plays and give aways. Most importantly our new supposed 'Face off specialist' had a horrendous game, he took 15 FO and only won 33%. That can not be put down to 'learning a new team and line', the FO is an individual metric (mostly) and if Danault can't win >50% of FO, especially on the PK than he's worse than useless to us. Another $5M veteran taking up a slot for someone much younger that can play the same way. Danault played relatively OK otherwise but he needs to win far more FOs to be worth his salary.
The way Fowler rebounds after allowing a questionable goal is what will seperate him.
I still don't like the Danault trade at all.. Ça enlève du temps de jeu pour d'autres joueurs en forte progression et pour ceux qui vont revenir. I think the experience in certain cases is way overated.. unless they knew Evans had a major injury. Danault malgré son expérience et ses qualités défensives brings nothing veleno, beck and texier (on pk) can't bring. I don't like the trade. He has looked slow, has zero offence, not good on FOs. Bref..
Marco must learn to look at the camera more consistently. He most of the time behaves as if this was an audio podcast.
the bruins seemed to push us around for the first two periods. this is a red flag for the playoffs, when every team plays like that. Loved Demigod's goal!
Not sure about Newhook because we still need more size!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog! Newhook demonstrated he was in for the fight before he went down…heck, look at what he was doing when he broke his ankle, going hard in to the corner to win the puck.
One more point on size. Size matters more on the backend than the front end to clear the front of the net and play hard in the corners. Hutson's fine because he's just that good but otherwise Struble needs to be traded and both Engstrom and Reinbacher need just a bit more size, both are listed as 6'2" and about 190 to 195 lbs, would like to see them get to 200 lbs (muscle of course) and why Xhekaj remains a better option, especially as he continues to play better and learns his craft more. In the last 2 games I've seen him just standing there and straight arm guys to the ground, no need for a big hit just that he's a beast!
Get texier off the shoot out put someone from Top 6
Hey Guys
Always love the opinions and commentary you give.
Keep it up 💪👍
Happy Holidays to you both and your family's 🙏
Slaf is my guy for mtl map. Look when he's on line1 then line 2 plays like top line
Merry Christmas boys !!
Merry Christmas from Athens
that Mccvoy comment had me crying of laughter Shaun 😂
Strombo on the show! make it happen!
Fowler &Dobes both have massive Compete drive. Both are exactly what we need.
Merry Christmas to you and yours .
Marco is on the money about center depth. Obsessing over the 2 c alone isn’t the problem it’s made out to be.
Slaf’s cap hit is 7.6mill AAV.
IMHO the difference is we have a player that has all the talent, but WANTS to be playing for Montreal & a HUGE Habs fan. That's the difference
