  1. Everyone on this panel knows how to get Alexi to be a star. I only have a suggestion not a guarantee. Trade him for another team period !!

  2. Laf missed an open net very early in either the Caps or Preds game that a guy in the blue seats on his 10th beer would have scored on

  3. Your line about Laffy summarizes him perfectly…."on a consistent basis"
There's days he scores the winning goal, or is one of the 3 stars of the game.
There's days he looks like he's trying to put a beach ball into a golf hole… and doesn't much care.
One guy on another forum has said he's played on the wrong wing.
Wonder how a Laffy – Mika – Raddysh line would do.

  4. Laf is just yet another victim of the Rangers inability to develop young talent. This has been an issue for a very long time. Nothing has been done to change any of that, so any youth brought in now would be wasted. Their only hope to create a contending team, is sadly thru trades.😢

  5. I've said it before, the Rangers shoot far less that they can and Laffy is one of those players with skills. Instead he spends more time on the boards thowing his body around to try and forecheck. Let him carry the puck in and draw penalties, make guys defend him cut him loose.

  6. Before this season began I posted here how Laf is an important key, and if they could unlock him they'd have a successful season. So far that has not happened.
One thing is this guy loves to hit the post/crossbar lol. but also his skills are not verifying, they're not be brought out and according to scouting his brain was suppose to be his greatest asset, his hockey IQ but doesn't seem to be put in the positiion to best utilize that. They even said he was only an average skater, though skilled with the puck and cerebral, even suggesting he was just 1 tick under Crosby.

But numbers in juniors don't always translate and I think being considered so great did not served him well as he strikes me as lazy when it comes to putting in that extra training required to be a superstar. Anyway he's still young enough to turn things around and the Rangers sorely need that. good points and thanks.
