  1. I’m disappointed the Sportsnet panel didn’t even know why DeMelo took that penalty. Did all 4 of them not see Morrissey get face planted into the boards moments before. Thats incredibly poor to not realize and mention what should have been called a penalty against the Wild. Really panel ???? Very poor

  2. How do you have Baron taking that last face off-not Toewes-or even Scheiflie or Lowry…basically anybody but Baron who took 5 before that? If Lowry or Scheiflie were out there-I could agree it's hindsight,2nd guessing-Toewes hasn't been good defensively,is slow,& hasn't been playing much PK-but not Baron. If it makes so much sense for the most crucial faceoff of the game-whyd you only trust him to take 5 more-& he was 1 for 5 BTW! Stereotypical example of a coach getting too cute,& outsmarting himself- which happens to even the best coaches. But Arniel needs to look in the mirror before whining about refs-albeit he's not wrong about the point he made. And I heard the WPG media didn't even ask him about that decision-come on now! But Im Colorado fan who was hoping for some help with Minny but Arniel that's an INEXCUSABLE decision. The 1 thing Toewes is still great at is faceoffs. But you make a lot of sense about puck luck,& all the breaks going your way then switching. Doesn't take anything away from the team.

The KC Chiefs are a dynasty but got every break last yr,& won every close game- exact opposite this yr. Some of that is a skill to finding a way-some is luck. Minnesota & Colorado both found a way to get 2 pts tonight in games they were very close to getting nothing. My AVS won a Cup a few yrs ago but seemingly got no breaks with injuries or close OT playoff games last few yrs. So far this year (knock on wood)-weve got a lot of puck luck -like our 1st 2 goals in Vegas tonight,& injuries. Doesn't mean the AVS aren't a great team-we also are analytically by far the best team so far. But do we deserve to be 28-2-7? We certainly have been the best team so far but it also takes some breaks to only have 2 real losses in 37 games. Both can be true at same time,& there's nothing wrong with saying or conceding that. I mean truth be known-the Dallas Stars have been outplayed processwise-especially 5 on 5-quite a bit lately but have made comebacks, have a great PP,great goaltending & find a way to win games they probably should lose-or at least got outplayed in analytically.

Or sometimes it's just-grind out a point when they probably should lose in regulation. Minnesota & especially Colorado have been far more dominant for longer periods than Dallas this year. But Dallas is in striking distance of us,& actually 5 pts up on Minnesota. Now they get credit for the skill of winning games they don't always fully deserve to but it's also some level of luck. And we all know the Dallas Stars are a great team. Beat us fair,& square in playoffs last 2 yrs ,& made 3 straight WCFs. Now they definitely got hockey god breaks vs us but also were missing 2 of their best players to be fair to them,& are a resilient,& mentally tough team. Those kind of teams tend to get more breaks sometimes cuz they are resilient. All of that can be true at same time,& usually is. And I get Demelo wanting retribution for a hit on Morrisey but talk about time,& place-save for after empty net goal or next game-you can't do that in that situation-time,& score,& as desperate as WPG needed 2 points. Yes they are only like 5 pts out of the playoffs. But problem is you have to pass like 7 teams,& even Chicago,& Vancouver are only like 1 point behind you I think it is.

  3. DeMelo, brain fart taking the penalty REGARDLESS of what happened to JMO and Arniel not putting 19 or 55 out for the face off to busy ranting to the ref about an obvious blown call.

  4. The best, complete game, that the Jets have lost, I have seen this year. The runway to the playoffs is experiencing black ice and a bad whiteout. I only hope that they don't pull into the All In Mirage Gas Station before deadline.
Thank you as always. Love the show you guys; especially your passion, humour and honesty, The intro music makes me reach for the fast forward.

  5. My pee wee coach told me to look at the guys chest not the puck guess demelo didn’t get that lesson! That and the dumb penalty he should be in the press box next game!

  6. I am not religious, so I don't believe in hockey gods. When four players have more points than all other members of the team, something is very wrong. In each game since November I see a first line that works their asses off – and I see others (except Barron and maybe Stanley, but he creates too many penalties) that skate around, dump the puck in and if they win it, play it by the boards to a defender who shots it somewhere in direction of the goal. This is not enough, this explains why scoring is limited to the first line. Cole Perfetti has a contract year, but he is invisible in any game. I am sometimes wondering if he left the game due to an injury is missed. Lowry, Vladi and AI are unable to even make a simple play. I have no idea what part Toews plays at all. Nyquist at least tries – he's the only guy with really bad luck at times. This has nothing to with hockey gods – what I see each game is simply not good enough for the NHL – and the Jets therefore deserve where they are right now.

  7. #KEG SOTG Renny for explaining why Barron taking the face off was not the “wrong” decision. Coach takes heat when Lowry starts OT and they lose. Big 3 lost last night in OT. Maybe it wasn’t a bad decision after all. Hindsight amirite
