Underneath the Tuch contract concerns are all the other pending UFA’s and RFA’s on the horizon which includes Byram. Going to enjoy this current streak and leave all that in Jarmo and company’s hands. Lets go!
Good to see them bending and not breaking per usual but let's not start playoff parade yet we'll get a better gage how far they've come when they start playing a few of the top tier heavy teams. Can't blame Tuch trying to get the max but c'mon at his age 5 yrs at 8 1/2 is more than fair.
The penalty both tuch a keselrin got last night were embellisment kinda penalties, dude skated in between keseels stick which was already there closed hisnlegs and fell over it was comical and then the dude literally grabbed tuchs stick with his hand and tucked it under his armpit
It occurs to me that the timing of Byram rediscovering his game coincided with the trip to EDM and CAL – he's an Alberta boy, maybe some home cooking and a chat with his family or an old coach got his head straight.

What? Sabres under Granato were something like 60-2-4 with a lead going into the 3rd period…Hamilton clearly misremembering thing as they were Exceptional under Granato when leading after 2 even when they went into Alamo mode. The one season they didn't lose a single time in regulation under Granato leading after 2.
All four lines are playing well, so when I stop and think about it, this team seems really balanced. The defense is good, and the goaltending has been as well (really all season, with a couple exceptions). You’re never as good as you seem during a winning streak but the streak was necessary to get them back into a couple points out. Now that they’re here, I don’t expect them to just blow the field away but they also shouldn’t vanish. Should be an actually competitive season the rest of the way (and I’d expect Jarmo to get some help if they’re close).

Sabres (defensively)are doing a great job of keeping the puck on the boards & pressuring puck carriers. That has been one of the things they have been missing. Winning breeds confidence & seems to make the players more willing to play defense first, because IT WORKS!!

That late penalty that Alex Tuch took with 1:50 left was clearly a 'dive' by the ottawa forward, and it was clear on the replay and Lindy and the boys were going wild on the bench because of it. It would be interesting if the league started reviewing dives after the games or something.🦬
