I'm still not convinced on the Red Wings. They're due for a crashing back to reality and I feel the only reason they're in the position they are in the Atlantic is the entire division is varying shades of mid. Any other year and this team probably ends up where they usually are, which is out of a playoff spot by now and selling off pieces while the Yzerman Defense Squad continues to hurl insults at you for daring to believe he needed to be fired. If I'm wrong and they genuinely keep this up, it's about time they made some progress and I'm happy they did. I just don't see this continuing the whole season.

Wings fan here, I think we're going good now but I don't think we'll be able to keep this up all year. I'm guessing we're a wild card team, but we're trending in the right direction. When Yzerman took over he had a bare cupboard left by Kenny Holland who gutted the future by trading 1st rounders for guys that you've never heard of just to keep them making the playoffs. The year we traded our first pick to Tampa ended up being Andre Vasilevsky and we got Kyle effing Quincey from Colorado in a 3 way trade. That was vintage Kenny, trade the future for a guy that you never heard of. He did it in Edmonton too, for Ekholm. Anyways, I digress, appreciate the Wings love but Stevie still has some guys coming up and I'd give it 3 more years before we're a serious cup contender.

Is it me or is Austin Matthews like a serious loafer out there when he doesn't have the puck? Wings fan, so I don't watch Toronto unless I get hockey night in Canada which is rare. Anyways, I watch Austin float around like a ballerina if the puck is not on his stick, doesn't seem to back check, forget fore checking, I don't know just my observation. I could be wrong.
