Doubt there’s any real interest in him or his contract. You might get future considerations that leads to nothing since the new team would take on the contract. He’s currently a bottom pairing or 7th defenseman. He should just take the demotion. Play top four minutes in the AHL and ride out the end of his deal. Next season he’ll probably be able to sign a league minimum contract and hopefully have a shot at earning an NHL slot.
Maybe he could start a cheese steak restaurant in Philly and just retire.
