  1. Happy new year! Question: will you be posting through the offseason as well? If so, will it be less often?

  2. I promise I'm not just kissing butt. This is probably my two favorite Bruins reporters. Evan and Court together is awesome. Ok, just a little butt kissing…Lol Great job guys in 2025. Happy New Year and here's to a wonderful 2026.

  3. This is my favorite team up for hockey talk. The Bruins are going to get 2 good picks this year. Toronto and the Bruins will most likely be in the lottery. We just need Toronto to finish out of the top 5. We can get a right shot D man and another scorer with those two picks. We can use the Florida 1 next year to move up as well if it's not used during the deadline because sweens panicked to try to get into playoffs

  4. My big issue, and it is not just the Bruins, is that the NHL has seeded the development of 1st and 2nd round players to the NCAAs not the AHL, which is a huge mistake. As 4 Nations showed the NHL owners, fans like an NHL which is tough and physical and 1st and 2nd rounders don't learn that part of the pro game, to play make and shot under physical duress, in the NCAAs. Look at Conner Beddard; he is only 20 but he developed his NHL game – making plays and scoring under physical duress iat 18 and 19 and if you remember he took a beating. But now he is going to give the Hawks a 10 yr run of potentially elite play before he turns 30.
I believe Neely and Sweeney wanted to sign Hagens to a pro contract right out of Development Camp but the Boston Media, which is so Hockey East prejudice, wanted none of that. I hope Neely and Sweeney tell both these guys to sign NHL contracts immediately after World Juniors. I think Hagens is a pretty tough kid so if he starts on Causeway St. I think he can handle the adjustment to the pro game. I think Zellers will need seasoning in Providence and joining Providence after Wotld Juniors will give him a chance to play AHL playoff hockey because it looks like Provdence will make the playoffs.

  5. Yes the Junior tournament is great. Especially the Bruins prospects. The main problem with the Bruins is upper management. How in the world could they offer 1 million for re-signing Brad Marchand? Have you seen his stats with the Florida Panthers? What were they thinking when Sweeney and Neely got rid of goalie Brandon Bussi? He only costed 875k . Yet they acquire Joonas Korpisalo for 4 million per year? Why did they get rid of Justin Brazeau? Have you seen his stats with Pittsburgh ? He was replaced with Tanner Jeannot ? Bruins got nothing back for Jake DeBrusk. There are so many other examples of bad management. Ill advised decisions.

  6. I’m not saying this is an accurate assessment of Letourneau or not 38:10 , but IF his profile, right now is “floor” = 3rd line NHL wing and “ceiling” = top-six NHL center… then that is an objective success from the #25 overall pick in an average/okay draft year.

  7. 40:56 Evan brings up another really important point. Even with Letourneau showing improvement at Boston College this past semester, he is still a raw amateur prospect with a lot of potential variance in how his game changes as his body matures during the age 19 to 22 years.
I agree with Evan that Letourneau likely needs to play out his junior year at BC, followed by (probably) two AHL seasons.
We’re looking at Letourneau becoming a NHL regular during the autumn of 2029, when he’s 23.5 years old.
That shouldn’t be too surprising, given that Tage Thompson (another very tall late first-round pick forward) didn’t become an NHL regular until his age 23 and age 24 seasons.

As an aside, I am curious to know if Court or Evan have thought about whether or not former Bruin Jason Allison represents a possible comparison for Dean Letorneau?
