While on the surface it might not seem the canucks are in a rebuild but there is question marks at the end of every sentence with this team

No chance. This team has not shown they are worth the risk.
We dont need a "needle moving" player. We need a star or 2 on forward and right now we have 0. We also have no assets to trade for a player like that. Picks: off the table, Roster players all have NMC, off the table and prospects have been off the table all summer or we would have McTavish or Rossi.
The reason the Canucks are in this whole is largely from trading pics because they want to make the playoffs every year so the owner gets his revenge . That's not the way winning teams are built. I would rather have san Jose , Chicago , Anaheim or Montreal lineup . They built through the draft like most cup winners do .
