The way we look these days is undeniably better, we never take 3 pts in a back to back game.
The penguins fans were absolutely obnoxious. Whole game was cornballs yelling at Talbot. We got are point and GL to the Crosbys next game at LCA
Winnipeg has an international airport and the headquarters of the Royal Canadian Airforce, hence the name Jets
I love the way Brian pronounces some of these player names.
Silovs, pronounced SHE-LOVS, morphed into Silvos. 😂
Thought on stranger things finale?👀
Pittsburgh fans make me hate being from Pennsylvania…
Emmitt Finnie is awful and playing him ahead of Kane in 3v3 OT, with DeBrincat, is indefensible. It is ridiculous. Letang and Crosby had to be laughing to themselves seeing that WHL kid climb over the boards to join DeBrincat, instead of Kane. They made short work of Finnie on the OT winner, which Finnie with his sense of entitlement bc he knows the coach favors him and he gets constant favoritism despite being awful, made zero effort to defend. Go watch that losing play and then tell me why that kid is on the ice in OT at all, let alone ahead of Kane. He as 3 5v5 points in his last 33 games. His line is getting outscored by a ton at 5v5 the last huge chunk of the season. Yet he's on the power play always and is absurdly going out in OT ahead of Kane.
With Kane on the ice the Wings are winning 21-3 over Kane's last 11 games. 13-2 at 5v5 over Kane's last 10 games. He is by the numbers the team's most effective 3v3 forward since arriving here. He is a superweapon in OT. Most clutch guy ever. Most skilled guy ever. Most poised guy ever. Great vision. Can do breakout passes the length of the ice. Can do 2 on 1s with Cat or Larkin better than anyone. He is famously good with DeBrincat in OT. He's also been on with Larkin for multiple OT winners here.
This awful coach seems to be doing this just to spite Kane and prevent him from getting hero moments. It has cost the team perhaps as many as 3 points in the last 17 games (at Boston, at Columbus, today). It cost the team dearly late last year.
Unacceptable coaching. Finnie needs off top line immediately. He needs to not play in OT ever, and certainly never ahead of Kane. Certainly never with DeBrincat. This is a joke that this is still going on even half a season in when we now have definitive ample proof of what this kid is and isn't. No excuse. That locker room must be livid when they see that kid going out there in that spot and then he does THAT? He barely tries, and gives up the losing goal immediately? Are you kidding me? The theories that Todd is this kid's actual father have yet to be disproven.
There might be a chance that ASP's usage is down is more from a game management side. Trying to help him last all season. Didn't edvinsson fall off a bit towards the end of season? Just a thought
Regarding Lucas, perhaps now that the olympic teams rosters are set he'll look to shoot more on 5×5 and PPs.
Nitpicking and dissecting everything is fun and interesting…. but damn, 3 of 4 points is bottom line great. And the Wings being in 1st place starting off January is even greater.
What's scary is how every winning point is so important to stay on top of the Division.
Raymond needs to shoot more. He’s my favorite player so I might be biased but, I feel he passes to much. It was especially evident in the OT
What is Mazur's injury, exactly??
I haven't subscribed to avoid spoilers and yet it still feeds this to me. Its a pain when the games arent on ESPN+ and I have to tip toe around my feeds. I like watching your videos but I like watching the whole games as if they are live more.
Wings showed alot of grit on the backside of a back to back.
Raymond needs to shoot more in 2026
Calling it now, if the Wings beat the Canadiens when they face off later in January they WILL make the playoffs. That being said Montreal scares me and I'm not sure we will win. Expecting a better fight than their season opener at least.
JBD is garbage. Why hasn’t Wallinder been given a shot? Younger, bigger, and can stay on his feet!
D zone coverage in 2 games was actually way better, but somebody better check the fan duel betting line on Crosby scoring 2 before the end of the first because chariot my wayward son gave an absolute muffin pass to him on the second goal.
Asp has already played 20 more games than he's ever played in a season, do you want him to get injured? They're protecting him.
Old man Sid showed the Wings how the game is to be played.
No one wants to talk about the fact that this team plays unremarkable hockey
Points aside, Raymond has been very disappointing this year. He does not look like a difference maker on so many shifts and has been making too many bad decisions with the puck. And I love Lucas Raymond. Hopefully the Olympics get him into high gear.
Win o meter says the wings deserved to win pretty overwhelmingly. Eye test doesn't always match I thought it went back and forth and even game if you add up all three (I guess 4) periods.
But some of pens pressure felt strong enough where I get it.
I swear if ASP breaks his sttick again
You two are gonna feel reeeeaaal stupid when you find out Richardson International Airport exists. Not a conspiracy theory lol.
How do you lose with like 8 powerplays. This game just put a little doubt in me about playoff material. The division is pretty much a point and couple of point difference from last place.
4 players are making it happen in this team. It's not enough.
