Quand Probert et Primeau ont laissé tomber les gants à l’entraînement. Ce n’était pas une question de dureté… c’était une question de respect. one of my favorite players ever.
Not the 1st time he has fought his own team mates . Ask Chris McAllister lol
Sucks we had to move him to bring in Shanny, but Shanny was the missing piece
Such an underrated player. Put him at wing today and he'd be Tom Wilson
Had to be the star….sat out to force a trade (Shanahan) and the Redwings promptly won back-to-back Cups. Big, no-Cups Kieth Primeau.
Chaisson would have beat his ass too.
Living in Detroit as a Flyers fan, Primeau is considered a “bust” here and Probert even with his issues is considered a god. Even with the footage, Detroiters say Probert beat up Primeau. Not even remotely true. Also Detroiters still think Wings/Aves are still a rivalry.
God bless you Keith Primeau.
I loved the way you played the game. The guys like you have never truely been appreciated by the average fan.
Primo is tough
Trading a malcontent for a player like Shanny was a steal. #14
Loved Keith back in the day for Detroit, Hartford and Carolina.
Glad he didn't stick around with those clowns in Detroit who knew they were gonna win a Cup or 2 but wanted to act like they were some specific club that only a few could belong to or something?
I love Stevie Y, Federov and some of the Legends that help build a Dynasty so This isn't about players but it was weird how Scotty Bowman treated some guys and for no reason other than he or someone simply did not like them.
(Aaron Ward is another glaring example but a guy who was well liked in the room, was ready to step up for Shanahan and fight for him so Shanny could score more goals but Bowman said…nope! He just didn't like Ward who went on to get a cup in Carolina and against Detroit so there's one for the good guys!
Whatever … some things are more important than cups actually… I know that sounds crazy at the end of it all but there are multiple examples of guys choosing a piece of mind or respect over a Cup
As a former player who made it to the collegiate level, even we knew never to ask the official scorer to add an assist. I grasp in the NHL it can effect your pay and whether or not you get sent down, but the reality is that your coach will see the game replays and if you deserved an assist, he will know. That's why his teammates gave him shit over it. It's about team first. You are not supposed to care about individual statistics.,
This story is well known in Detroit, Gordie was watching this practice and he said it was one of the most vicious fights he had ever seen !!! #LGRW
Chase woulda mopped the ice with him.
Loved him as a Flyer. Makes me wanna go hunt some of hockey cards
I just wanted 2 bebon the ice
Primeau lmaooo
Give me a break😂
Guy was too big to be so soft
Is that even a real fight cuz it sure looks staged hate to say
Who was it that fought in practice recently?
Burr is a renowned asshole. When I was growing up he was one of my favorites and it turns out to be one of those don’t meet your hero things.
He was a great player
great trade 4 brindamore
Like it should be. Nothing wrong with wanting your apples on the sheet and nothing wrong with the guys making light of it. Probers isn’t the one but sometimes those in-practice tilts brings the team closer together.
He should have been a Canuck. We would have won the Cup in ‘94.
Why am I learning all this stuff from a YouTuber and not the news.
He was an asshole to kids! We were trying to get Yzermans autograph when I was younger, and he started yelling at us all to clear on out! Average age was like 10! Miserable man!
Fought probert i doubt that went well
