PLEASE! For the love of God, can you on your next podcast talk about the fact the Leafs should go after Sherwood / Vancouver for a 2nd or Robertson or Macielli…don't care I want him.

It's funny because this guy doesn't seem to be the best that's ever been in blue and white when I think of the best Gilmore Clark Sundin Aanderhuck Stiller Keon all come to mind not Matthews and I know that's a big thing to do with playoffs even tho none of those other guy's got us a Cup they sure put it on the Line and took us close Matthew's ERA has been a joke only personal achievements i have seen so far.

aki berg would have put up reilly numbers if he was on the pp and first pairing with the goal scoring machine leafs of the past 10 years. reilly has been horrible for at least 5 years. i don't care if his wife loves it here or if they are building a house. i forget who, someone on tsn said it best. you sit him down off season and say we are done here. give me a list of 10 teams. if he still refuses you scratch him every night. we need a change and so does he
you sing the praises of Stetcher, yet he would never have been a Leaf if the horrible Carlo had not been injured. Rielly has to go to give a spot to someone the game hasn't passed by. If Rielly had any integrity at all he would retire. He is Jake Gardiner 2.0. $92,000,000. per game for a beer league player?
I respect Reilly, he's done a lot for this team, but he's slowing way down. He's just not nearly as quick, sharp, and aggressive, and when he does get aggressive? Makes far too many mistakes. Either he finds a way to improve, fast, or it's time to let him go. This ain't about choosing favourites, it's about results. We have glowing opinions of players that either never got to hoist the cup, or just never got to in a Leafs sweater, but earned that praise, regardless. They all tried, desperately, to win. Reilly needs to do the same.

HEY I'VE GOT AN IDEA. Put Reilly on the wing, like Brett Burns was on SJ. He has 5 more years left. We aint getting rid of him. So might as well turn him into a 3rd line winger. Let him play with Roy and Robertson and feed Robertson the puck since he's a great passer and not so great of a shooter. Don't let him touch D ever again. Hell, put him on the 1st line with Matthews and McMann and send Domi back to 3rd to play with Robertson and Roy.
Rielly just looks unconfident in everything he does, it’s just strange idk if he needs to get a couple goals in the net or what but somethings gotta give
Here my thoughts on Rielly. He’s great offensively, garbage defensively. You can backstop a player like him with. Defensively solid d partner. But if I were in Berube’s shoes, I never put Rielly out there on an OT shift again until he demonstrates that he can lock it down. 3v3, you only have one D out there and everyone has so much space and rushes seem to happen all the time. You need a D man that’s quick, on the ball and defensively locked down in OT more than anytime else. Don’t put Rielly in that position, you’re setting him up for failure.
Long term though, you need to ask yourself if he’s worth it in this situation. He’s an offensive D-man, and those are well known to let in some bad goals unless your name is Cale Makar. The Evan Bouchard Corner is a thing for a reason. But guys like Bouchard stay in the lineup because they can balance out the bad with the good. Bouchard is -1 right now. -15 is not a good outweighing the bad situation, especially for your top pair defenceman, and double especially when that player is getting $7.5 million.

Morgan Reilly has NEVER stepped up and become defensively reliable. He's obviously been better than he is now, but we have pretty much been waiting 13 years for him to learn to defend.
And thus, this team HAS never won with him on it, and WILL never win with him on it. Enough is enough.

I say throw Reilly up on a wing for a few games to give him a fresh perspective. Or a healthy scratch for a couple games. He’s been a decent defender before, maybe he just needs to work on some fundamentals.
