I think the rest of the league has suddenly caught up
I feel like there might be subconscious motivational issues. Even with a half-assed effort for the second half of the season, Dallas seems destined to finish second or third in the division and facing Minnesota in the first round. Colorado seems out of reach, and the teams behind the top three in the division do not appear to pose much of a threat. So basically the rest of the season has very little at stake, which may make it challenging for the players to truly give their everything every game and maybe even risk injury.
